Some really strange behavior today; there were two large pledges (one for $750 and one for $999). Both were cancelled within the same day they were made. Unfortunately I can only view one of the profiles of the two backers that made the pledges, but the one I can see reveals that the profile was created yesterday, which leads me to believe that both users were the same person/group and it was some kind of a scam or troll attempt. Weird.

Yeah Dave and I got all giddy today when we saw both pledges in such a short time-span, then we went when we saw they were both cancelled.

Yea, thats why I'm going with the significant other giving the donor a smackdown for putting that much money down... its a much more entertaining thought anyways.

I haven't read this entire thread- so pardon me if this question has already been asked. What is the scale of the map in the opening post? How long would it take me character to walk across one of those continents (without any kind of fast travel or anything like that)?

The maps seen in the pictures are 500 x 300 tiles; walking across a continent takes only a matter of a moment or less in real-time, but in-game the passage of time will obviously multiply with distance traveled on the overworld map. At any rate, 500 x 300 is not going to be a strict limit; the size of both world and regional maps will be adjustable via an init file, so if you want to go absolutely bonkers and generate a 5000 x 3000 map because you hate your computer and want it to experience the computational equivalent of hell, it'll just be a matter of punching some numbers into a text file.
