There was a generic 'welcome to phpbb!' type of topic in there when I created the forum, but I deleted it. I think for some reason the post count still includes it or... something.

So long as he doesn't burn himself out.  Seen it before on projects that become too personal.  They devote every waking moment to it, if they can, only to get totally 'blaaaaaaaah' about it after a while.

I doubt that'll happen, though.

Doubt it, Dave has been working on the game for two years now. If anything kickstart will help speed things up, as freeing up time will allow him to get loads more done.

On a side note, I can personally confirm that an alpha demo is in the works and it absolutely ROCKS!

I'm really excited about this. I've always wished that Dwarf Fortress would work a bit more on Adventure Mode, but this looks like a great alternative. I've always loved games where you can start your own faction ( I assume you can do that.). plus the whole building aspect looks really fun. I can only go up to 25$, unfortunately. BTW I love the reward tiers, even though it's not that big of a deal, I can't wait to build up a an army and attack a town ran by me.

EDIT: looks like you're on your way to the 15,000$ stretch goal. I'm really excited about that one.

I am also very excited about this, and can't imagine it won't be hit.

The question is, with the impending 'alpha demo', and a late surge, can this project hit more?
