I'll be uploading a patched version in a few days that will include custom window size. It's one of those things I just wasn't willing to hold the code back any longer for, but it'll be in very shortly.

Ditto 'settings' not doing anything.

So uh.

How do you spawn on the map?

If the instructions are further down the page... Well I can't read them. 766 height. :U

Oh, and Alt+Enter... closes the game. Without an error pop up. There might be one in the log file, but the only log file I can see I can't open. >:C

Now I am guessing even if the game doesn't hit 25k that there will still be some world gen parameters just not to the same extent.

Such as whether or not to use fixed content (or possibly how much fixed content the game can use)

Oddly enough I have two predictions for the first expansion: The Planes or The Gods

The planes will feature the game involving other planes of existance and/or planets and their interactions with eachother.

The Gods will expand on spirits and gods and allow them to be playable.

I am of course just picking the two largest expansions I can think of... I am sure in reality the first expansion will be a "living large" expansion.

That's assuming there will be expansions, and that it won't be continual development a la Dwarf Fortress and Toady.

I got the impression he was aiming for the latter?

I'm going to wait for the patched version, getting the same error on startup as other people. Nice to see a tech demo out so soon though, even though I didn't get to play it yet :P

I'm struggling a bit as well with the Tech Demo, on account of my too-small screen as well as a possible crash (unless there's just something I can't see) after world generation. That said I'm very happy at what I am seeing so far.

I couldn't quite believe the creature proliferation phase - watching the little letters expand across the world, gradually wiping out the little 'w' things in a tiny corner of the world, and 'F' absolutely dominating a certain patch of mountains.

I also can't quite believe how consistently strongly this KS is performing ... It's awesome and I hope it enables My Lord Dullard to achieve all his goals!

There's a patch out today that allows custom screen sizes (as well as the ability to change several other important settings).

Not sure how I feel about the random word generator. I think the word for it is "entertaining".

But anyway, it looks good so far. The only problem I've seen is generated local maps (for actually playing on) takes a ridiculously long time (esp. compared to games like DF). With a 3ghz dual core cpu, I've been sitting and waiting for one city to generate for nearly 15 minutes.

Some of the creatures it generates are practically gods in it of themselves. I cannot imagine taking down some of the largest creatures.

Too bad the game doesn't properly show the creature information to me. It cuts off soo much it doesn't even finish the first paragraph.

Will sentience and Semi-sentience be handled by the intelligence stat or will it be like a feature of the animal itself?
