What he said. Considering historical France held for one month and a half before surrendering, you're not doing bad at all. Do what EuchreJack said, but if you have to choose, sacrifice land rather than troops. We'll need every division for the fight to come.

I agree with Sheb.  Don't lose troops.

Any hope for help from the Allies? (Great Britain sending troops over could be very handy.)

Share all your sweet, sweet tech with your allies in hopes of persuading them, and pull back to the Maginot line. Also, get tank destroyers!

You're telling me!  :P

Alas,
they're busy swilling tea, while our boys get the croissants beat out of them. If only the British could realize that tea may go good with croissants.

I think I have it set to auto-share tech and stuff. But I'll doublecheck, most likely tomorrow after class. I believe tank destroyers are being researched, but I don't think we'd be able to produce any before loosing the maginot. I fear we're stuck with the troops we've got, and our only hope is the British making some random landing in Lower Saxony or Pomerania (as per usual) or the Russian bear waking up and attacking. If we do survive, we might be able to swipe a chunk of Germany all for ourselves before the Russians. And then spice things up with a hot cold war. If not, there's always Vichy.  :-\

edit: And something I just thought of: What if the Germans attack Benelux soon? They did historically in May of 1940, and they'd be able to goosestep right into Paris...  :'(

You mean, you're NOT protecting the Benelux Line?  Didn't you, like, build forts there and everything?

Well yeah, the forts are there and everything, but all the troops (mostly militia or garrison) that aren't in Africa or Indochina are fighting in France.

Question: Why not try and make a small commando to attack Germany on the side, passing by the neutral states that have no troops on them? You know, to 'relieve' pressure on the front.

So you want to invade Belgium and reverse-Schlieffen the Germans?

can't we ask the neutral states for rights of passage?
And i suppose that with all their troops at the front, we could try and cut straight through Germany's center...and countries who aren't connected suffer manpower penalties, right? (Or supply lines penalties...can't recall)

I highly approve of pre-emptive liberation.

Is there not some kind of political shenanigans we can pull to get troops into allied nations that share a border with Germany? Shouldnt the Dutch/Belgians be open to some kind of pact? Or even the Danes. The Swiss I am assuming have no interest.

I'm pretty sure Denmark is now part of the Reich.

I guess I could use the canadians in a naval invasion somewhere off the coast of Germany or occupied Denmark only for them to be thrown back into the sea by marauding German patrols.

Benelux and those bastardly Swiss won't let us through, so if we did want to pull some kind of elite Canadian commando type thing, it would be by boat. The British and I pretty much have the North sea and Baltic locked down so it wouldn't be that hard to land per say.

Denmark is now part of the Reich.

Canadian commandos turning the course of the war by cutting off a major Nazi force? Now that's an alternate history I'd love to see.
