Actually, the first kobold thief to arrive, half will turncoat. Its fun watching them fight and seeing who wins.

Wall them in.  Build a system to make them fall prey to cage traps (webs on cage traps or the like).  Build a multiple z-level underground arena.  Use the kobolds as sport for your gladiators.

1. Wall them in.
2. Dig a tunnel between their cave and the circus.
3. Breach the tunnel at both ends.

Can't you just do the humane thing and stick them all in a cage in the middle of the dining hall? Perhaps add a nice lever incase something goes wrong..

The weredwarf Urist McUrist has come! A bearded drunkard twisted into minute form. It is crazed for booze and socks. Its unwashed beard is tangled. It needs alcohol to get through the working day and has gone without a drink for far too long. Now you will know why you fear the mines.

Et tu, Urist

Humane.
Humane?
What is this word, and what does it have to do with the tall people?

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

I'm not your average Bay12er. I care about my drunken midgets.

Well the tall people can't hurt people as well as Dwarves do. Humane.

Kill them all.
Nothings better than having only a group of crunchy kobolds 'n' bits between you and worthless treasure. (Which you could sell to the next caravan, I guess. Don't have to make all that crap for trade the first year or two.)

I'm probably just going to make a dedicated military squad, arm them with the best weapons and armour I can get and go to town on them.

The best part is there cave extends up quite a few z levels from the surface and is right infront of my entrance to the fort so I'm going to use there entire cave complex as my military barracks/castle complete with crossbow towers, so you would have to pass through it to actually enter my main fort by way of bridges. Built one previous fort I had this way and it worked out very well. I'm using a heavily  modded game so I added a few more nasty creatures for added fun so the extra security is greatly appreciated.
