So I lack the time to paraphrase the rules now but I'll fix them later. In the meanwhile here are your racers.

I'll download the relevent pages and I'll work on what I need to for when I get home. In the meanwhile, discuss.

So there are more pubs in <RETRACTED> with wifi than you would think, but I'm not ready to go just yet. However, I have decided that I will not be using the tiered item system OR any custom items-only the vanilla selection. I tried making a tiered system with bonus items work, but the balance didn't seem right... yeah, I'm gonna let Monk do all the balancing issues and I'm just going to run the game.

So I stopped procrastinating and actually did the relevant stuff. And now I ROLL FOR MODULES!

Tiruin: Wait that's a Compensator never mind

...Huh, that was easy. Can you all just be helpful and post your modules (if any) with your following action?

TURN 0

Thanks to the magicks of roll20.net, I can now give you a map WITH THE ICONS ON THEM. That's just how amazing and resourceful a GM I am.

As the racers take their place on the grid, Kirby flies onto the track with a flag. And as best as he can with his cute little hands, he tries to signal the countdown-three... two... one...

Do you use a Rocket Start?

Pikachu module: speedy
Hiccup: Rubber band back.

Pikachu sent a warning glare at Mr. Fish, before deciding to play it safe. His cart wasn't meant for a quick start, rather for a long race. Pikachu's only goal was to finish in front of MonkeyKong. He had no desire of looking at a pokemons primates buttocks for an extended period of time.

Racer: Little Mouser
Module: Free Item
Hiccup: Featherweight
Bio: Skittish, aggressive racer with Kleptomaniac tendencies-Kart modified to carry extra loot. Reputed to be racing under duress, to pay off outstanding debts to some 'unsavory' types.

---

Mouser stopped a moment to still his twitching nose, nibbling on a piece of cheese to calm his nerves. He had no choice-he had to win today...of he'd be feeding the Big Cat. Sleeping with the Cheep-Cheeps. Pushing up Fire Flowers.

You get the idea.

Boss Blargh wasn't accepting any more excuses. While the Kirby Open didn't have a payout, there was a lively gambling ring centered around it. Mouser had put up all his funds with the boss-top three, and get out of debt. Worse than that...

His nose began twitching again in fear.

"'Ere's to a clean race, eh chaps?"

He squeaked to the other racers.

Action: Rocket Start!

Racer: White Shy Guy
Module: Compensator

((Well, I actually wanted to test one of Dwarmin's modules, but as we went for the vanilla...))

Shy Guy nodded at the mouse creature as he checked up the last parts of his kart. This was going to be a clean race, and his compensator made sure that nothing was ever going to be wrong with it.

This was for the Yoshis!

"Tally-ho!"

Rocket Start!

Racer: MonkeyKong
Module: Speedy
Hiccup: Rubber Band Back

"This is a nice place..." oooked MonkeyKong, looking around and not really paying attention as the other racers focussed on the start lights... "aww, what a cute pair of little mousies..." he ooked at Pikachu and Mouser, as the lights went green and he totally missed the chance for a rocket start.

Play it safe

Mr. Fish smashes his face into a large button on the dashboard, triggering a Rocket Start!

Also, forgot to mention, but for all future runs of Luigi Circuit I'm bumping the Item Box to-hit bonus to +2. Otherwise the guaranteed Momentum of the outer path is too good to pass up.

TURN 1

Rocket Start Turn

Pikachu plays it safe and starts straight, gaining ONE Momentum!

The other mouse in this contest, Little Mouse, revs up his engine for a Rocket Start! [5] He explodes off the line, gaining TWO Momentum in the process! His free item module kicks in, and he gains [4] a Green Shell!

The Shy Guy on track also builds up for a Rocket Start. [4] He also gets off the mark very well, scoring TWO Momentum in the process!

Monkey Kong plays it safe, only gaining ONE Momentum in doing so.

Mr Fish goes for a Rocket Start as well! [5] He also goes off the line with some pace, gaining TWO Momentum for doing so!

Bill, for whatever reason, the only human, goes for a Rocket Start! [1] The engine puffs up in smoke, and he fails to gain ANY momentum from the starting line.

Tie Breaking

A three-way battle for first commences as Shy Guy, Mr Fish and Little Mouser all made excellent starts! [2] Vs [2] Vs [4] The Mouse uses a sneaky tactic and pulls away while Shy Guy and Mr Fish are still going at it! [3] Vs [3] They are literally neck and neck coming onto Red! [6] Vs [5] Eventually, Shy Guy gets the front of his kart forward, putting him in second and leaving Mr Fish in third.

Meanwhile, behind those three, Pikachu and Monkey Kong fight for fourth! [6] Vs [2] Pikachu quickly cuts off Monkey from the inside, claiming fourth as he goes!

Bill eventually trundles off the line. He's in a definite last.

Turn Results

The turn order here is displaying both your position and momentum at the same time. Huzzah. Here's a massive stat dump, mostly for my use =P

Shy Guy blazed through the lines as he watched that mouse zoom ahead of him through unknown methods. He admired the sneaky rat, but this race was going to be his!

Pikachu had gotten off to a good enough start. However, he still needed a podium spot. He stomped his foot on the accelerator. Aggresive Driving

This is for the red part of the track, right?
