I'm a seventeen-year-old Caucasian Englishman (very English; my mother can trace her family tree to Anne Boleyn, and my father's family name was in the original Domesday Book), currently living in the States. I'm the oldest of four children in my family; I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. For about two months every year, our ages follow a neat pattern: right now, we are 17, 15, 13, and 11, respectively, but that will end in June. I'm 6'1" or 6'2", depending on how much I slouch. I have brownish hair, but not very dark; I'd go with "bronze" (it used to be blonde, and I'm told it was actually red when I was born). I just let it do what it wants, and I only cut it when it gets annoying, which is usually when I can see it just by looking up. I genuinely don't know what color my eyes are. Everyone I ask gives me a different answer, and if I ask the same person twice, I get two different responses. I believe they are what's known as "glasz," meaning they can appear blue, green, or grey, depending on lighting and other factors.
I hate wearing shorts. My standard outfit is a grey cotton t-shirt with some picture or phrase on the front (I have about ten different ones, and I often don't look at which one I've chosen that day until someone points it out), with a pair of zip-off cargo pants. I don't zip them off, though. Sometimes I'll change up the shirt, maybe with a solid-color, synthetic (polyester) t-shirt (no long sleeves if I can help it). In the fall and winter, I wear a heavy black coat full-time. It becomes a habitual thing, and I'll often accidentally keep wearing it well into the spring, at which point it makes me sweat to
death massive discomfort. I have a really old pair of black shoes with really thin soles, which are rapidly falling apart. When I walk through a puddle, they just soak it up, but they do at least dry quickly. I'm not given to changing up my outfit very much.
I have ADHD Inattentive, and it's pretty bad. Without my medication, I cannot focus on one task for more than a few minutes at a time. I'm also very lazy, which may be partially blamed on said ADHD, but I generally have a pretty terrible work ethic. I like to think I'm getting better though, especially now that I'm in college and have to motivate myself to do the work and get good grades.
That brings up another point: I'm very intelligent. I just finished my freshman year of college at RIT, even though I only turned 17 in January. I got a 2260 combined score on my SATs, and an 800 each on the SAT II tests for Math and Physics, despite having no formal Physics education. I then went on to get a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam, with a 4 each on AP Physics C - Mechanics, AP US History, and AP US Government. This, despite still never actually taking a Physics class in high school (technically, I did attend one in my senior year [actually my third year of high school; I got all my required credits done in just three years], but I just sat in the back and self-taught myself enough for the AP exam). I try not to make a big deal of it, though. If someone asks, I tell them, but it's not something I brag about (this post aside), and I'm normally pretty modest.
I enjoy video games, but only a select few, and not very often. I'm a big fan of the Elder Scrolls games, and I just finished the main quest in Skyrim for the first time. I own almost all of the main-series Pokemon games, and I love them all. I like Castlevania and Mario. I also like the Legend of Zelda, but I'm not much good at them. My favorite series of all time, though, would probably be Kirby. If you hadn't guessed by now, I'm a pretty big fan of Nintendo.
I don't watch much TV or movies. I like Top Gear and Doctor Who (David Tennant is my favorite Doctor), and I also like MLP:FiM. Adventure Time is okay, but I haven't watched it all that much. I used to be a huge Spongebob fan, but I fell out with the series after the movie. As for movies, I like a lot of Pixar and Dreamworks movies, and Studio Ghibli. I seem to prefer animated movies to live-action ones, though I can't say why.
I'm very shy and introverted (Meyers-Briggs type INTP). I have a small circle of close friends, as well as acquaintances from the BSA Troop I'm in and people I see in my classes. I'd much rather sit in front of my computer (MacBook Pro, with Windows 7 on a partition [for games]) than go to a party or something like that. I've never pursued any sort of romantic relationship, mostly for lack of confidence. Even so, I don't really have much interest in that sort of thing.
I'm an atheist, and this is where I placed on the political compass:
