Also tests show thier armor works decently even against the same weapon material. Iron segmented vests blocked everything that was thrown at it made from iron and below, as did the plate-backed gloves and Taccom Helmets. It actually came down to severing less protected limbs or parts of the arm.

Fire casters on the upside, can just be given a shield and armor and sent in the enemy's general direction if they don't have guns or bows of some kind.

I meant the enemy. The fireusers are basically living fire cannons and only need a shield and armor for trotection, though a combat knife for defense might be good to have.
