Starting out with four White Mages.  Hmm.

I have to ask my friend but he was somehow able to pull this off.  I'm guessing he powerlevelled pretty hard.  Magissa and Forza were giving him a tough time til he learned he cuold silence Magissa.  Not sure how he handled Garula(He may have switched here, not sure.)

Took forever but I managed to kill Omniscient.  When he gets low in health he spams -aga spells which 1HKO my mages.  Had no reflect rings and no white mages, so reflect/berserk/silence were out.  Tried mage masher but silence wears out too quickly(When it works) and relying on that for a later fight is much too high a risk of getting return casted instead.  Eventually bought 2 flame rings from phantom village and equipped them.  He seems to favor blizzaga and firaga more than thundaga, and it worked out.  I'm about to enter the void now with my Geo, Black, Red mage, and ranger.  Legendary weapons acquired for each of them(And chicken knife, though I'm not sure I'll be using that)

There comes a time when you must take off the soft, furry slippers of a boy and put on the shoes of a man.
Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

Chicken knife?

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Chicken knife?

It increases in attack power with every battle you run away from.(Up to 255 times)  It is the strongest weapon in the game by that point.  The downside is that instead of attacking it may try to run away instead.  This can also be a good thing though if you're trying to get away from a nasty enemy.  I think Aim might bypass the running chance.  I don't remember.

Aim does indeed bypass the running thing. Chicken Knife doesn't actually get 1 point stronger for every run away, though - the damage maxes out at 147, which is still ridiculously powerful. I wonder why it's up to 255 runs away instead of, say, 100 or something.

I think I would have almost preferred four White Mages. Thieves aren't supposed to be frontline fighters (I know WMs are even worse at it). I find myself going through a few Phoenix Downs and huge numbers of potions on boss battles. Then again, I'm usually dreadfully underleveled in whatever RPG I play.

Also, Knight get. That should do wonders for my damage output - especially since I can steal mythril swords from one type of enemy now.

Man, four white mages was cake early on, then suddenly started beating the crap out of me.  Fortunately, my next class is Mystic Knight..!  Oh happy day, for I have healing, elemental damage, and plain ol' armored melee!

EDIT: Beastmaster.  Damn it.  Oh well, no awesome streak lasts forever~

Gonna have to go powerlevel looks like

My party's around level 30, and the most HP any of em has is bartz with 960 or so.  Made it to Neo Exdeath.  But he'll always cast Almagest.

Almagest does 1600 to everyone.  I have no idea which body part casts it, or if it's just something they all do.  I don't know if I'd be able to kill it before it casts Almagest anyways.  I'd use Shell but Red mages can't cast Shell.  The best I can do damage wise is spam Flare on a part.

My characters were level 40(ish); White Mage, Berserker, Bard, Samurai (in that order)

Sand worm with only white mage and berserker was terrible.

I defeated Neo Exdeath with Capitalism (haste trinket + bard spamming the Level Up song + throwing money at the problem)

I think it's the hand that casts Almagest...and unless I remember incorrectly, it's vulnerable to Break.  Not 100%-chance vulnerable, but you can do it with only moderate luck.

Yeah, I got Dancer. Haven't gotten to world 2 yet, but that means my team is Blue Mage, Summoner, Ranger and Dancer.

Everyone is going to have blue magic.

Everyone.

My Ranger being turned into a frog and then using !Animal to summon a flying squirrel is one of the cutest images I've ever seen in a Final Fantasy game.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Alright. I might be an idiot, but  how the heck are you supposed to get 4 thieves, only two who are armed, through the ship graveyard? Grind skeletons till they drop daggers?

Basically, yes. Thieves are not cut out for melee combat at that stage in the game.
