What's with the religious torture porn? Did we really need this martyr BS?

It's probably also got to do with reports of the game actually bricking PS4s.

I hadn't heard this until today, but it sounds like it's happened to quite a few people. Xbone owners are reporting it as well.

It is probably the most broken game that got sold this much though. Sony will only refund a game you haven’t downloaded, so for them to offer refunds for a game a week or so into its release is a big deal.

Sony's refund policy is so idiotic. How the heck can you not refund a game you downloaded to play, but it wasn't up to your satisfaction or buggy beyond belief? What's their logic here beside stubborn greed? I'm happy that this time they folded and actually are refunding Cyberpunk to people who got duped.

I'm pretty sure that illegal in quite a few countries, I am surprised people haven't gone to court over it like happened with Valve (which is why steam has refunds now. I remember when Origin was held to be the standard of refunds.)

Let's not do this again, it was bad enough the first time.

Yeah, I don't know how anyone other than CDProjekt can be blamed here, it's clear false advertisement of minimum specs.

And it should never brick a machine. Not working is one thing, but bricking?

Yeah, here in kangarooland, it's illegal for companies to ban refunds. If a product is faulty or unfit for its intended purpose, a consumer is legally entitled to a refund from the seller, even if they're not the company that makes the product. If they take your money, they're required by law to give it back.

yeah well. dont read much about bricked consoles outside this thrad so maybe its not the reason after all.

no refound for downloads is pretty common and certainly not against the law in many countries. like all of europe. i agree its bad though. 2h on steam is way to short already i think because many games work for the very early game and then completely break down. no refund at all from sony is total bs.

This is why I'm glad my PC runs on coal. By the time I get to games they've either been patched and modded into perfection or you've already been well-warned.

Some of the bug reports on this game are kinda funny though. I think it's just a problem of overhyping games... same with NMS, same with Spore.

I was definitely guilty with Spore, simply for the reason I was a HUGE fan of Simlife.

I wonder how Simlife 2 would look nowadays. Or the other two Loom games. I'm not sure anymore I want to find out, though.

The game runs on my PS4 well enough. I had like, a couple of crashes, but meh. Oh and sometimes the pictures of people calling me would stick around on the screen for long after the call finished, just staring distractingly down at me, presumably judging my character hard as I rummaged through piles of trash for potential loot. That was probably the worst bug I encountered.
I didn't play for very long, mind you, considering what I saw was about as exciting as watching paint dry. Colourful paint, maybe, but paint nonetheless.
Fortunately, though, I expected the game to be pretty bad and as such had no real scope for disappointment.

I don't mind if the reference is dated. Heck, if they put a Monty Python reference in there, I'd laugh at that too.

I'm pretty sure stuff like Monty Python is kinda timeless, though, even if I'm not the biggest fan myself.

It's certainly illegal in all of EU, and it was certainly illegal here in Sweden before the EU subceded that law.
