Not even. The creepiest part was the total lack of reaction beyond mild annoyance. I mean, come on! If you're going to break canon with a sueish self-insert and have her raped by orcs, at least have the common courtesy to get neck-deep in purple prose and have her try to kill herself.

Didn't read it much, but from what I skimmed through, it was full of intoxicating Mary Sue and bland characters, among other things.

Oh, and special attention has been given in the "scenes", which is quite frequent. Insert Tab A into Slot B, receive reaction with too much prose.

It sickens me. Damn you TvTropes for showing me that.

I remember hearing a "dramatic reading" of a Zelda fanfic in which Link uses the Ocarina of time to go back in time and molest his child self.

The same guy who did the reading of "Legolas" linked to in this thread also did a reading of "My Inner Life".  Even with his delightful speakiness I had a hard time getting into it.  It was just...  Weird.  And started off being incredibly disturbing with someone talking about how they dream every night about living together and having so many babies with Link.

Not sure if that is the same one you're thinking of, it might well be possible that he'd do something along those lines, but I was just under the impression that "My Inner Life" was more centered around people getting jiggy with the author-insert.

Nobody's going to mention that, according to the story, she was ten years old at the time?  And still ten years old when she woke up and started going steady with her foster father/brother?

This was set up, those orcs were probably innocent, those racists are always trying to throw my brethren in prison for crimes they didn't commit. She probably consented then lied about to the authorities for publicity. I WILL NOT STAND FOR MY PEOPLE TO BE SLANDERED BY SOME DARK AND EDGY "WRITER". THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL RECIEVE  A VERY STERN E-MAIL ABOUT THE PORTRAIL OF ORCS IN HER SLASH-FIC.

With my declaration of vendetta out of the way, I do admit to fan-fiction in 6th grade, I still have it somewhere around here. I believe it was a .hack/digimon/naruto fancfic complete with self insert and waifu. It wasn't sexually though, just classic tsundere "Its not like I like you anything" stuff.  I might post some of it(the fanfic itself in incomplete and around fifty pages long)

Huh. I was just thinking about the first fiction story I tried to write for a grade school assignment. It was set on a terraformed Neptune, and involved a young boy on his hoverbike being nearly killed by hunter-seeker drones that ambushed him from out of the tall, purple grass.

Okay, so my terraforming knowledge left something to be desired (although I seem to remember it being in the *distant* future), but even my first scribblings were better than 95% of fanfics I've ever read.

Don't know that I've ever actually written something based on established material from someone else's work. I feel like that's somehow transgressive....like you're playing with someone else's toys without their permission. And then making their Transformers rape Barbie. (let me guess...there is in fact a fanfic of that already, right?)

But "borrowed" toys are the best toys. Also, what you described is slash-fic, which is inheretnly pornagraphic. A fan-fic in my opinion is just that fan-fiction. For me slash fic is your example and fan-fic is something like Barbie and Optimus Prime team up to destroy and eveli scientist or something. Both can be hilarious.
