*ba-dum tish*

I'll have to look into that second bit, though. Didn't check the options too terribly thoroughly while I was boggling at the frothing mass of fake humanity and then wildly clicking flaming squirrels to death.

There are some pretty serious connection issues when trying to get onto Delezie - West on the Silver Crown (aka starter) channels. I could easily get into any east channel, and things like Meltdown and Behemoth on west with a bit more time, but if I tried to go on Silver Crown, it'd just die out on me.

I found out two things when I was messing with Creator, frumple:

1. It has Plate armor mastery for some reason in my skill screen. Like, wat. They use mage weapons; How does plate fit into that at all?
2. It is far easier to get combo ranks with the default clickyclikcky attack than any of the 4 skills you can play with above lv. 10. Except bosses, which actually can take a good number of hits if you don't smash them to bits with ice plates & meteors instead.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

wait I didn't lock this thread all those years ago shit :o

Well okay I'll actually edit info into the OP and such aaaaAAAAAAA

EDIT: Okay edited it, links have been updated, no major changes to the post structure besides removing the player list partially because it's not relevant anymore and because I cannot maintain player lists, if someone wants to set up a google doc or something I will totally link it in the OP. I still need to consult a great sage on the rest of the post, and I'll be back to do more if it needs to be done. Enjoy people!

1. Yes, Nexon is totally out. This is run by 10 people at Neople, the developers.
2. There's some Xigncode3 program, but it's not a very strong anti-cheat program.
3. The game is now 800x600. Wow!!!! (but it's not fullscreen so not a big deal; besides, all the sprites would look weird if they were stretched IMO)

Wasn't this game on steam at some point? I can't find it now. I was gonna give it a whirl, since it seemed decent back when I first found it, but Nexon was the first and last nail in the coffin for me.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Xigncode doesn't like Process Explorer if you have it open btw, and it also gives you nigh-useless error messages if you leave something open it doesn't like.
Also, part of the options menu has additional screen sizes, like Window Full (borderless fullscreen window), and an assortment of resolutions. Can't figure out how to move the chat window though.

It was, before nexon's lack of effort killed Old DFO. No idea if it'll return to steam or not, but like SirAaron said, nexon is out of the picture for DFO global.

Also, Ringland Underground Prison has some pretty awesome boss music. Reminds me of the mirkwood theme. Forgotten Forest is also pretty great for music.

Okay added a link to the google doc at the bottom of the post, go add your names if you want to get in on this! Note the game is peer 2 peer though so your connections may vary.

And now for the full story...

1. Nexon bombs DFO hard for all the reasons nexon should be bombing things but inexplicibly aren't; lack of events, lack of customer support, lack of in game enforcement

2. DFO is cancelled by nexon, and the rights for america return to neople, the developers

The story would normally end here, BUT

3. neople decides they love america or have something to prove (probably the latter) and reinstates DFO in america under their own wing. This is a really big deal, because neople is a developer and they really have no business maintaining servers and shit for a game, much less outside of their own country.

4. It's revealed they have like, a ten man team for this, probably people between projects. This is both good and bad, the amount of money neople needs to make back is significantly less then what nexon would have to make back to make it profitable, but support will be more limited. Know that the team has shown nothing but the most stalwart support for this shit, including hosting livestreams for the american audience and staying up 72 hours to debug shit. They are stand up dudes.

So, basically, it's gonna be a bumpy ride, but not for lack of trying. Cash shop isn't actually up yet, but when it does go up consider spending some money. They seem to be dedicated to making it not P2W, so hey.

Too many buttons ;_;

Or rather, too many for my poor controller. It only has, like, ten easily available for button pushing. This is insufficient. Apparently.

Also to hell with those blue elf bastards. Friggin' homing iceballs and their tiny tiny hitbox spawners. And those diamond thingjiggers you can't do anything to except beat in the face. Hate those guys.

Still need to make at least one more character. Creator was junk to play (too many clicks! Why do I even have the controller plugged in if I'm gon' play dis ting), thief not sufficiently beaty (or, to be more precise, I've already noticed I'm shitty landing like, anything with them), priest is good. I like the priest.* Just need something besides the cross to whang things with. Highest level critter's at 10 now, though, which is... yeah. Something like 4/6/10, c/t/p. Dunno what to try next. Been too long, don't remember how anything plays. Also didn't really play much last time anyway... gunner, punchy-critter, or whichever mage ends up a critterspammer, I think. Not tonight, though. Done for tonight. Also that fatigue bar thing worries me 'cause I don't remember what it does. Ahahahahahaaaa

*Except for the bit where it takes a dash attack to hit the pot-things on the ground. That's annoying.

F.Mage gets critter spam via Summoner. Also Gunners via mechanic, maybe? Haven't actually played mechanic yet, but it looked like there were a lot of little robodoods in the video about them. (Was sorta confused by summoner when I first summoned all the things, heh. Had a bit of trouble finding myself and ended up trying to melee the enemies.)

If you don't know who to play Frumple, play M.Mage if you at all like projectiles. Much fun, very projectile. Best survivability of all the ones I've tried besides Creator (since creator doesn't have to really aim themselves at the enemy at all, seems like), gets an emergency heal that you take extra damage during if you get beat up too badly anyway.

Have you considered using AutoHotKey (or whatever other macro-mapping program) and making one (or more) of your buttons (a trigger I imagine) a modifier so that you can double map your other buttons?
Or is AHK one of the programs the current anti-hack will trigger on? (seen it trigger elsewhere, as benign as it actually is)

Hadn't considered that, actually. Mostly because I'm complete bollocks at configuring AHK scripts -- literally the only one I have that's working is the rapid-clicker lurking somewhere in the terraria thread that just happens to spamclick everywhere instead of just in that particularly game, heh.

It's a thought, though. Having a quick-click for playing creator would be nice, too. Just haven't checked to see if the anti-cheat triggers off ahk.

Someone on reddit made a program that uses the exact same API as AHK and it was ignored, but Xigncode complained about AHK.
Seems to be the thing looks for programs it recognizes rather than code, if he's right.
