I heard Dark Templar had pretty low damage but focused more on holds and grouping, but never noticed when I was watching my friend play. He didn't get that far though. I heard Chaos is mad OP but from that description, yeah, they sound pretty similar.
Vagabond is pretty OP. What's supposed to happen is you wield a lightsaber in each hand, but most people just use zanbatos because of the higher p.atk. That, combined with the changed hitstop from a certain skill that changes the shape of her off-hand qigong sword (it's weird), lets you just mash X til you win. Helps that they have a great normal attack chain. The one issue is they wear leather armor which means that if you don't destroy a super-armored enemy quickly, you'll probably take a lot of damage.
Sword Master is basically Blade/Weapon Master from male slayer, but they don't focus as much on changing weapons mid-combat and can't use lightsabers. From what I heard, it seemed that bludgeon was the best for leveling up and shortsword was best after getting the proper chronicle gears.
And I heard Demon Slayer wasn't as bad as people say. The main issue was that most of her moves scatter mobs making it annoying for the rest of the party to destroy them. She reportedly becomes amazing after a buff patch recently released in kDNF, but we're probably not gonna get that until after some second awakenings.
In other news, Neople put a teaser picture for Forgotten Island on their Facebook. It's another non-fatiguing area that you can go to from Underfoot starting from level 25 daily, with another chance after you use 100 FP. You have 30 minutes to run around a large dungeon-type thing clearing rooms and slaying mobs/bosses. What's interesting is that you can use some crystals or something that drop there to buy exclusive equipment, like...
- magic stones that boost each element's damage by 12; keep in mind there are also unique and epic stones that give 30 and 45 element damage too, but they are much harder to get
- a magic stone that boosts every element's damage by
- a necklace that gives a 5% chance to buff your strength stat by 11% for 30 seconds. Not sure on exact numbers but the bottom line is it's a percentage stat boost which is probably pretty huge.
- an experience boosting potion that lasts for 5 dungeons
There will be some daily limited quests there too, and the experience rewards are good.
And in completely different news, I realized that since the Saint Horn channels are cross-server, that means I can go do OVs and ancients with you guys! I'm a total newbie at those though, having never passed 50 in the old versions. I should probably try to get to 85 on my f.ranger first before I try anything exciting. Or get to 85 on another character because f.ranger is pretty difficult.
