What I don't get is why it takes them SO LONG to just release a new gender/class. I mean, its been over a year since female gunner, and they've only added thief and male fighter since then. Priest doesn't even have its coolest subclass yet.

I want to make a female avenger, but that'll probably take 5 or 6 years at this rate =/

There are probably ways around it but it means latency gonna suck hardcore no matter what.

I am actually a really great PVPer at this game and had a really great Magic Exorcist Monk.

I stopped playing because I realised that unless you pay for inventory space the game STARVES you.

I use chrome and it works fine. What error are you getting?

Yeah, I'm on chrome and it works great. Not sure what you're referring to. With that said, there's a control panel that let's you launch the game through it without going to the website, so lemme see if I can't dig that up for yah.

And Sonliran, it's also available in new zealand and australia I believe, so if you happen to live in either of those places, then there you go. :p

EDIT: Yep, browserless DFO launcher. Here.

I think they're talking about how all the technical support says re-download with IE, re-install and run with IE.

Tips without knowing the specific error you get: Remember to make sure that your browser and every exe in the games folders are set to run as admin. Also, don't run any of those in compatibility mode.

Well. I heartily dislike double posting, but I'll make an exception this time. Got bored of my launcher, and a rolled a few more classes. Settled on an Asura for now. Give a shoutout if you see Vankriez (or is it Vankreiz? I always mix it up) tooling around.

Also, for some reason Nexon makes me reset my password EVERY TIME I WANT TO PLAY. Fairly annoying. Although probably good for my account security.

In other news, the last part of the Revolution update is coming out in almost exactly 24 hours. Personally I'm hoping for the Avenger subclass for Priests, and male Mage and possibly two of his subclasses.

It's gonna be male mage. Nexon put the info in the source code for the webpage (as in, right click, source code), without actually like, hiding it.

So the rumor goes, anyway, I haven't actually checked it out. Also yeah, it does that. If you wanna avoid that, you can log out and log back in  to keep it from doing that.

I'll add your new chars to the OP. Sorry I haven't been on lately, also.

For anyone still considering, this game is seriously great fun, come onnnnn.

I know Nexon is the king of idiots but it is totally worth it, honest.

I retry DFO every so often and it's always turned out to be the ultimate definition of "game that I want to love but can't."  :(

Any particular reason? They've made a lot of changes, depending on when you last gave it a shot.

Seems I'll be giving this a try, after all. Playing will be incredibly spotty, but I've tried a little and liking what I've seen, so far. JackThejil, currently level 3 mage. Thinking of aiming for either summoner or witch, hum.

Is it still limited to 640x480?
I was incredibly annoyed by the scaling it underwent on my screen (and windowed mode barely worked at all).

I... think so. It does set the resolution to something rather small before actually functioning. Since it ran decently without tinkering, I haven't checked what kind of options exist to be screwed with, yet.

It is, BUT, with the next upcoming patch, there will be alterable resolution. So you won't have to wait very long. Also, added frumple's character to the OP.

Still not really capable of getting on, should be in on it pretty soon though. Need to be studying for a test at the end of this week, and DFO has a way of eating my entire day if I try to play it.

EDIT: Also they've added official windowed mode support (rather then making you type in a command that is stated nowhere in the game to get into it), so windowed mode should be more stable, now.

EDIT2: Also, a note on summoners, one, you will need al ot of mana potions. It's not really an issue, but be aware they're fairly mana hungry. Two, depending on how the AI treats you, summoners can either be highly effective, or the monsters can meander around for several minutes before doing anything. Kind've a gamble! Still perfectly viable from what I hear, but be aware of what you're gettin into. :P

I believe you get 5 a day, maybe 3. You start with 30. I wouldn't throw them around like crazy, because dungeons do get a lot harder as you progress, but they're not amazingly rare or anything.
