".....What....I'm just... going to go back to my apartment now. I'd think if y'two want t'do anything, y' probably want to get out of Phantom's room. You're probably scarin' the shit outta the poor guy." John went back downstairs, into his apartment, and collapsed onto his bed.

MEANWHILE (AGAIN)
The cloaked, short man on the street hears a ruckus coming from an open window of a nearby apartment building. Curious as ever, he decides to go investigate.

Gotham's mysteriously high mental illness rate isn't so mysterious when you find out Batman thinks subduing a guy means spiking his head into the pavement like a football.

Masha looks up from Jim and smiles at Phantom. "I'll pay for it, if you like!"

"It's my duty as landlord to fix it. The door needed replaced anyways..."

Jim sees the people staring, and simply shrugs. "Hey, I have peculiar tastes."

The short man walks in, ignores everyone in the lobby, and begins marching up the stairs until he sees the mess that was made in the fight. "Hmm. That's very..... interesting, surely." He turns to Masha. "You look like the least insane out of the bunch. What happened?"

The lanky man butt stroked the officer, hearing the crack of his nose, followed by a knee in the groin. ' Is There Anyone in this apartment? '

Phantom blinks twice in rapid succession at the two.

"Okay then." He says with a slow nod and walks in.  He surveys the damage for a moment and when he thinks no-one is looking, slides the gold cloak into an open drawer and closes it.

"So when do you think it'll be fixed?"

This is what happens when we randomly murder people.

You get attacked by a Yandere triangle monster.

The large Scottish woman followed the gun-wielder. "'Scuse me, sir, but did you just ASSAULT 'N OFFICER OF THE LAW?" she bellowed, her eyes flashing a bright green.

Meanwhile, Johnny woke up to the sound of his mother yelling. "For Chrissake, ma...." he mumbled as he rolled out of bed, tried to put on some PJs, then realized he had fallen asleep fully clothed. Still mumbling to himself, he opened the apartment door and walked into the lobby.

"So when do you think it'll be fixed?"
"Just as soon as I can get a door that fits. Shouldn't be too difficult; I have a few spares in the basement."
Jim proceeds to hurry up and get Phantom's door fixed, jogging down the stairs to the basement.

The police officer falls over, and gasps. He couldn't feel anything, and he felt like he was dying. His heart was about to give out, there was so much pain...

He breathed in, and breathed out...

And then there was nothing but a corpse in the snow.

The woman's eyes started glowing brighter. "DEAD."

"Oh, just a bit of play fighting." Masha smiles.
"Well, I see that your... friend... has already gone to fix it, so I think I'll avoid causing any more scenes. Have a good day, madam." The man began walking toward the staircase, when he suddenly turned around and yelled a question down the hallway. "Oh, pardon my interruption again, but would you know where I could find the landlord?"

"No problem," Phantom says as Jim rushes downstairs.  "I'm used to this sort of thing."

A man walks into the apartment. His brown trench coat shrouds his appearance, and his fedora covers his head. Suddenly, he stands up and removes the trench coat, revealing a normal outfit. Then, trenchcoatless, he walks over to the reception desk. "One room."

"Nice fedora," commented the seated balding man to the standing non-trenchcoated man, not looking up from his book. "The hat of gentlemen."

He'd look up and smile if the other man made eye contact, then cheerfully get back to reading.
