Masha sighs and grabs his wrist quickly, and tries to twist it in half, intending to make him drop the knife.

Just as that hand flys open, she sees that it is indeed empty. Jim raises one eyebrow, a smirk on his face, "Gotcha."

He swings with his other hand, and it happens to have the knife in it, open and ready to go.

Masha pulls out a sig sauser and holds it to Jim's head. "Not so hot now with a gun to your head, American. A knife won't save you now."

Jumping back to when Fniff spoke to the man last night... he would nod, ask for a room with a bookshelf get his room number, pay up, complete with a 20% tip, and then check in.

As of now, however, he was just casually remaining in the background, nose and smudged eyeglasses buried in a paperback copy of War and Peace. He seemed to be in another world entirely, and completely oblivious to everything going on around him, but providing random color commentary on the book half out loud. If anyone tried to greet him, he'd basically look up and remain monosyllabic but friendly.

You know, I should maybe have told people my name. But then they'd interrupt my book.

"Petya... oh, you're going to die. DUMBASS, you died, that's what you get for being stupid. Poor Rostov family..."

There was a bookmark far ahead of where he was reading, indicating the place where he would stop and become available for interaction.

Jim does a quick dip down before Masha can even finish her sentence, and deals her a swift knee to the stomach, grinning the whole time.

Characteristically unaware of the proceedings upstairs and down, Phantom cleans up half of the mess he left cooking and takes the folder upstairs to his apartment to read, but not before falling over the first step again with a loud bang that echoes through the house.

This is what happens when we randomly murder people.

You get attacked by a Yandere triangle monster.

Masha yells, then punches Jim in the face, then leaps to the side to allow herself some room in the corridor while he is reeling back. She prepares to kick him in the stomach. She withdraws her leg, and aims squarely for the stomach.

Jim let's himself get carried through, allowing his momentum to guide him, bracing for impact. At this point trying to move would only get him hit harder. Masha extends her leg like a whip, striking him square in the gut. It has enough force to propel him through a door marked 42, knocking it off of its presumably weak hinges. Jim lands with a roll right into Phantom's room, and goes into a defensive crouching position, ready for combat.

Phantom struggles to his feet and climbs the stairs, already reading through the folder, then hears the yell.  He runs up to his room to find the door busted open and sees a woman gripping two combat knives running (leaping?) into it.  He carefully sits the folder down and peeks around the corner at the battle inside.

BANG CRAAACK THUD

"What the actual...?" the man spluttered indignantly, pausing in his reading to look in the general direction of the noises, mouth half-open and eyebrows raised. He blinked a few times, trying to find words, then just shrugged and got back to reading, eyebrows still up as he shook his head, bemused.

Jim sees the crazed fem fatale running for him, and his smile some how broadens, "I love me a good fighter".

He leaps into action, dashing up for a leg sweep.

Jason grabbed a bowl of Ramen and headed upstairs. He grabbed something from his pocket and flicked it open. Setting the steaming bowl on the floor, he removed the tentioner and one of the lockpicks from the booklet. He began to work on the lock and after 30 seconds or so there was a satisfying click and the door swung open. As Jason walked in he smiled, there was a table and bed, sparse, but plenty for his needs. He took a look under the desk and nodded, at least their was electricity. He heard a crack from the room next to him and walked out of the room, leaving his backpack inside. He saw a woman charging into a room with a knife. "Told them they where going to themselves" He muttered.

Masha is tripped by the leg sweep, and falls over, onto Jc, when she promptly kisses him.

"God, you are my kind of guy!" She says, then giggles.

Jim takes her hand and stands, giving her a tug to help. "And you are most definitely my kind of woman."

Jim looks around the room, seeing the damage he's caused. "Hey, uh sorry about that. I'll get it fixed right away."
