Wandering around on YouTube, I found this charming little animation project from The Animation Workshop.
As I watched it more, I eventually realized: This is incredibly similar to Dwarf Fortress!
Charming, isn't it?
Some similarities I noticed:

An old and aging Warrior seeking death in battle.
A number of random mishaps causing the death of many.
A dwarf getting thrown off a cliff.
A giant pulling a piece of timber out of the side of it's head to use as a weapon.
And more.

What do you think?

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

That reminds me, the afterlife in DF sounds very interesting.

I've always loved this video, and felt sorry for the guy.

And the ‼nuns‼ make me laugh every time.

Somehow, that fills me more with dread than anticipation.  It's like being told that someone's exhuming your favorite grandparent and they're going to try to make her into a cyborg stripper.

Not enough religious flamewar in the comments.

But the animation is great :D.

I would definitely pay to watch a full-length animated movie about Biorn seeking an honorable warriors death, just not the kind he was hoping for.

Then it happened. Then I cringed. Then I picked it up and beat him to death with it, and then his buddies, too.

I just watched it and feel really bad for Biorn.  Stupid nuns why, he was so close!  I thought he was gonna start killing all the nuns with his arsenal of weapons so he could go to valhalla or hell or something.  :(

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
Link for full quote. 'tis mighty funny.

Anyone else see the whole thing in combat logs?

The giant pulls out the cedar wood spear from it's right ear!

Biorn could just go out for some old fashioned God slaying though. Maybe visit some of the other religions for some gold ol' bloodshed :P

A troll, eh? Well I guess you could say it did start a flame war...

Let me clear this up then.

Cyclopes have a single large eye - Cyclop = big eye, but not from Norse mythology so goodbye!
Giants = Two eyes.
Trolls =  Three eyes, with one eye capable of seeing into the future. Norsey norse norse
