I don't think it was a problem with your server. I played with some other fellow who was having no such issues. I don't think it's lag - it's FPS :(

Turn off all the options except fullscreen. If you still have FPS issues, lower the resolution.

While not A New Zero specifically, I'd like to bring Sub Rosa to attention. It's a game Alex made for the 7 day FPS thing

http://7dfps.org/?projects=sub-rosa

It's a 3-team game, where one team has documents another team wants, said team has money that the first team wants... and the third team has guns and cars to fuck up the other teams with and steal their shit. I haven't actually gotten around to playing it myself but it seems like it could be a pretty cool guy.

EDIT: Oh wait, can't get above 10 FPS, crap.

I have that installed, but no servers are running. I do feel like sub rosa should either be in it's own thread, or in a general cryptic sea thread.

I am excited for the update to ANZ.

Anybody know how to enable gamepads?

I've had my brand spanking new wired 360 controller that I've been mucking about in games with and I tried to get ANZ working, but when I selected the gamepad option and applied nothing happened.

My server has been down for... a while apparently. It's back up now.

If anybody is trying to play Subrosa and has the same problems with FPS as I've been having, try setting your CPU affinity to just one core. It's brought my FPS from 14 to 30 =)

The server is down again, but I tried it locally and did not get any FPS issues. I hope this ports over to multiplayer :)

Oh wow. I'm hosting a Subrosa server now for quite some time and there's constantly been people playing. I'll definitely be doing it again tomorrow.

Just figured I'd bump this topic because Reddit found this game... so, yeah... It's cool to see people actually in servers, hehehe.

Have sum vidya

On top of that, Crytpic Sea has its own forum now =)

That forum is semi-useless at the moment, the old forum had a 'how to not crash your plane' tutorial in it.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

hey i don't suppose anyone here knows how to get the bomber AI to work on a dedicated server?
The GP coop servers have a problem where once the AI researches bombers, they all grab a bomber and proceed to roll off the runway into the ocean, where they very slowly die.
Makes the game crazy easy and boring.

I noticed the occasionally up "Matrixcraft" coop server doesn't have this problem, but its only got 2 bots, which is just as bad, if not worse.

It's been a few years, but a new infantry demo is out:
https://twitter.com/crypticsea/status/706739054155423744

Only one server up for now, fun enough to play around in. No guide for the controls, so I'll post what I figured out:

WASD to move around, scroll wheel controls the speed at which you move (Goes from sprint-run-walk-aim)
Hold shift and press R to reload the SMG with the magazine in your hand, press it again to unload
Hold shift and press a number key (2-5) to place magazines/grenades in your inventory, press 1 to holster your SMG
Pressing R arms grenades, but you can only throw them if you have holstered your SMG and have the grenade in your main hand
Space to jump
Control to crouch
Z to go ragdoll

Mouse wheel controls speed. Hold shift to select your off-hand

This is pretty neat and I just started. I thought the day would never come that a new ANZ came out.

Oh man, I loved flying around in the old version.  I think the last time I played, we'd capped out the player number at like 10 on the server as we were having a jousting competition to earn a beta pass to planetside 2...  Can't believe there's still stuff going on!
