I'd like Dishmab the fisher-farmer. Standard Dwarfing of replacing the name with username. Added traits are sarcastic, and can be disrespectful at times. Doesn't sleep well in general. Sent due to having a history of not ruffling an feathers aside from the occasional insult or two, and an expedition always needs a couple experienced farm hands to provide food between caravans. (I learned that the hardway when no farmers arrived. Had quite the food/booze shortage.)

I vote we do a sort of imediate family incarceration deal for those that have families brought with them. Just make the rooms big enough to support 4 people with a bed and a couple tables with a quantum stockpile. Could be a bit of a chore, and some prisoners may die of starvation or dehydration, but that's alright.

Alternativly to maintain sanity of dwarves if they get kept in individual cells, have every cell built around the mess hall. I also propose in both instances, doors for prisoners are replaced with verticle bars.

As far as defense goes, it's not the wardens' jobs to ensure the prisoners are safe. These are dregs of society and in DF, they tend to not live for long once incarcerated, since the tend to die of neglect. It'd probably work to have the lowest end crimnals assigned to squads under some of the militaristic wardens and helpers. The sole reason bottom rung ciminals being selected is because they may not have killed someone in thier sleep or something and can at least be trusted to defend themselves and if they came with them, thier families, if not the other prisoners.

Sarcastic Dishmab "Splint" Dikesearched the farmer/fisher being added to OP. Idea of individual or family "cells" with quantum stockpiles of food being considered.

Note: The title of "Warden" is assigned to every non-prisoner dwarf. It's not specifically the dwarves guarding the prisoners; there probably won't be many prisoner guards, in fact, due to the probable need for guards protecting everyone else.

My/Vabok's idea: Just let the prisoners live among us, for a while at least. After that, some kind of big communal detainment center can be built. Maybe in the caverns.

Oh my won't that be fun. Six prisoners killed by a crocodile, a warden got his arm broklen by a giant bat, the head physician lost his foot to a crundle swarm....

Why would the wardens be there?

Ohhh, a prison fort! I had a good time with mine way back in 2d. I bet yours will last longer though. :)

I'll take Rigoth please, rename her Aira. She was chosen because she always expects the worst and speaks her mind about it, so she's useful in spotting possible weaknesses and problems. Also she talks WAY too much and says everything on her mind, which can often be very annoying.

I wouldn't be so confident about survival. This is a haunted area, which could mean anything from "Blood rain and knuckle worms" to "Ogres, zombies, ogre zombies, huskifying fog, ogre husks, ogre husk zombies, blistering muck rain, blistering ogres, blistering ogre husk zombies, and very short sieges." Speaking of sieges, I'm using the Fortress Defense mod.

Rigoth "Alra" Grinderrinses: Check. Four dwarves left.

I will claim Bomrek, rename his first name to Simon and we're good to go. Please enable the broker job for me.

Also, a spear or pike if you need an extra set of hands in the security detail. Forgot to mention that.

simon: Simon Portalcastle is ready. She was already the broker, so yay there. Three dwarves left. I'll probably start tomorrow, or when all the dwarves are taken, whenever's first. Maybe a bit early.

Splint: Noted, although I don't have any spears right now.

Everyone: Care to comment on ideas for the jailey place? Or personality traits, for those of you that haven't mentioned any yet?

Guys? Anyone want Mafol the miner/carpenter, Urdim the beakwolf-loving and in other unmentioned personality things untrustworthy-seeming craftsdwarf, or Etur the nice farmer?

I can try and dredge up a couple participants if you'd like. Things have gotten quiet in Spearbreakers so I'm sure they could use a timekiller.

It'd be nice but not needed. I suppose I'll start playing if no one is going to claim another dwarf any time soon.
