I think the biggest issue would be capturing the atmosphere. Because otherwise I'd feel like I was failing :/

Spoiler: A brief summary of the Neverwhere RPG system (click to show/hide)

Characters, items, obstacles etc... have a series of adjectives. These provide a series of +/-1 modifiers, based on common sense - a strong character would be good at punching, whereas a charming character may be better at bartering. Items grant users access to their adjectives.
All checks are made as opposed checks - each participant (player/opponent/obstacle) rolls 1d6, and adds their modifiers. the higher roll wins, and a larger success margin gives a better success (5+ generally considered to be a brilliant success).
When a 6 is rolled you roll again, and add +1 for each further 6, until you stop rolling 6s. (so for 3 consecutive 6s + something else, 6+1+1+mod.) 1s roll again, deducting -1 for each consecutive.( so for 3 again, mod -1 -1-1)

But anyway, I just like the whole description aspect of things, and feel it could work particularly well on forums.

I don't think I could do him justice. Really I would probably end up making fladerized yet dateable versions of forumers based on their habits. Like GWG being the smart argumentive Tsundere.

Also, don't complain about keyboards to the guy who is using a phone and planning to start an RPG despite how difficult it would be to not screw things up.
