School Name – This is the name of the gladiatorial school you manage. It affects nothing other than your personal choice. Choose wisely, there is a 100 gold fee to change the name due to the paperwork involved.
School Titles – A list of tournaments you’ve won. This helps you keep track of what tourney’s you still need to complete in order to qualify for certain higher ranked tournaments.
Fame – The Amount of Fame your school currently has. Exciting fights and winning tournaments increase this number while boring fights or losing too often will decrease it. Fame is very important as it affects random events as well as money earned from fighting. Most importantly though your Fame Level will go up with this number.
Fame Level – Determines the amount of Gladiators you can have in your school as well as the caliber of gladiators you can recruit.
Money – The amount of cash you can dedicate towards your school that week. As long as this number is positive you are in good hands. If it becomes negative though your gladiators might start deserting. You gain money by winning battle and tournaments as well as a small amount that you dedicate from your personal account each week. It goes down as your purchase gladiators or deal with upkeep.
Upkeep – The amount of money you lose each week due to pampering your gladiators, maintaining their equipment, and buying them food. Higher numbers of gladiators can increase upkeep but this is usually offset by your being able to enter more battles at once. You also choose Low, Medium, or High upkeep. Lower upkeeps might make certain members of your school desert though High upkeep requires you to win matches pretty consistently. The upkeep you choose can also affect random events.
Lord Type: This is your profession outside of the gladiatorial arena [which is more of a hobby for you than anything] and it grants a certain benefit to your school throughout its life cycle.
Surgeon – You are a reknowned surgeon and medical professional. As such your gladiators regenerate an extra 10% health per week, on top of the regeneration they already had.
Merchant – You are a very wealthy merchant who knows how to allocate their money in the most efficient way possible, as such upkeep is lessened by 10%
Military – You are excellent at teaching others the art of war and formations. As such each gladiator gains an extra 5% experience per battle.
Blacksmith – You work long and hard on weapons and armor for your gladiators. While the arms usually go to the army, you manage to sneak some of your better armors to your gladiators to give them the edge. Each gladiator of yours gains +5 bonus to armor.
Philosopher – Your gladiators all study your personal ideals and incorporate them into their own lives. Whether your way of life is healthier or your gladiators are just very nice and let you pretend it is doesn’t matter. What does matter is that all of your gladiators gain +10% health.
Rancher – Early to bed, early to rise, early to eat, early, early, early. You do everything earlier than other people and your gladiators are forced, pretty much, to do the same. As such each gladiator of yours gains a +10 to initiative.
