I've been looking for the PC version of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms X" preferably with the Power Up Kit, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere; or at least anywhere that seems remotely legit.

My Google-Fu isn't nearly good enough to find a copy. So I'm wondering if there's anyone who's managed to obtain a copy or knows where to find one.

I found the game itself on Amazon here. Not sure about the Power Up kit though, most results got me stuff about RotTK IX.

That's the PlayStation version though. There's nothing wrong with your google-fu Blaze, the game you want apparently isn't being sold anywhere.

Yeah, that's weird. I can find the PC version of IX no problem, but nothing about X. Weird.

Checking Wiki, it looks like the PC version was only ever released in Japan because Toei hates us.

So, if you can read the moon runes you'd have to find it imported. I just checked Play-Asia and they only have XI listed for PC and even that is listed as out of print/out of stock.

If you really want to play it on the PC, and you don't mind jumping through a few hoops, I've had decent success running RotK X emulated off the PS2 disc in my PC's drive. PS2 emulation tends to be slow and slightly glitchy, but I ran into no game killing problems while playing it and a slight slowdown didn't really affect this gameplay all that much, although I'd never try it with an action game on my current computer setup (admittedly a bit old at this point)

If all you want is mouse control though, you might be out of luck.

Dunno if I can run a PS2 emulator on this computer though, it's Single-Core 2.4Ghz. Plenty of memory though. My PS2 broke down so I can't  dump the BIOS anyway.

I can read moonspeak, but I haven't been able to find a copy on their sites, w/wo the kit.

That sucks man. Not sure how well you'd do with the emulator, but then again I've been out of that scene for around ten years now.

Probably less, if you find a used one. I bet you could find one for $25 if you tried.

All the physical shops (chain or local) I've been in sell PS2s for $25-$40. Now granted the PS2 is still EXTREMELY popular, but there's no reason to drop more than $40USD on one.

Ah... the quest for the power up kit for these games has wasted so much of my time...

RoTK games have a place in my heart... and usually cash reserved for it.
