Mideek Actions.Looking to get faster and more agile, Mason checks out the local community sports centre in the inner city slum. On the way he calls into a hardware store and picks up some Gorilla Glue (-$15, Glue obtained) It is suprisingly well equipped, with a multigym and several sports halls. As luck would have it, a Kickboxing class for beginners is running this very evening, and Mason signs up. During the class Masons exisitng level of agility comes in handy, and as a fast learner he picks up basic techniques quickly (4 + 1AG +1 (bonus). Mason has gained +1 speed and learnt the skill Basic Kickboxing: +1 to all kick rolls.
Following the class Mason hits the showers, and takes his time, waiting for people to clear off. Once the changing rooms are empty, Mason gets dressed and stashes the glue in his pocket. Heading to the Multigym area he notices Frank leaving the centre, and Richard arriving. Not wanting undue attention on what he was about to do, Mason avoids all forms of eye contact. Being late evening, the gym is quiet - only a few pwople are using the equipmnt. Mason makes it look like he is inspecing the various bits of apparatus, and stealthily looks to apply liberal amounts of glue to mechanims and surfaces (4). Whilst not the neatest application, or the most stealthy, chains are fixed to cogs, and weights are firmly stuck to surfaces - the crowning glory of the application is a large smear on a treadmill (glue has been consumed (not literally)). Mason looks to leave without anyone noticing his sabotage (1), but as he strides out a young lady switches on the treadmill and steps on to it - as her feet stick to the belt, which then jams, she is thrown to the floor. As she hits the floor, she shouts "who put glue on this?", and notices Mason sneaking away - she yells "stop him!", and Mason looks to sprint out of there as fast as possible (3 + 1SP). Mason leaves the persuing gym staff behind as he burts through the door laughing to imself, but Mason has been banned from the community sports centre for life. Who cares though, as Mason has been invited to join Project Mayhem next week.
Richard knew he needed to be faster. The primary barrier to this was the fact he was overweight. Richard also knew his overweight ex wife turned to aerobics when needing to shed a few pounds, so headed down to the local community sports centre to see if it would work for him. As he arrived, Frank was leaving, and the 2 men swapped knowing nods as they passed in the doorway. Across the entrance way Richard saw Mason, clearly up to something - it was best he was left well alone. In one of the sports halls a Kickboxing instructor was packing away while a young and highly attractive gal in a leotard was laying out some step aerobics platforms. Bingo, thought Richard.
"Care to show me how to use one of those things?" he asked the woman... "Sure" she replied, "but you will have to take your place with the rest of the class"... Richard looked around, and scores of overweight middle aged women were arriving, and he felt very out of place. The class started slowly, but after about 20 mins the pace steadliy increased, and Richard began to feel the burn (3 + 3EU), but managed to push on through, keeping up with the instructor despite suffering a shortage of breath. At the end of the class Richard needed to lie flat on his back and gasp in big lungfuls of air, but he did
gain +1SP as a result of his exertions. As he stood to leave for home where a cold shower and a good nights sleep awaited him, Richard heared a loud shout of "Stop him!" and saw Mason running like a loon out of the place. He was glad not to have interfered with whatever mischief Mason had got up to.
Following a good nights sleep, Richard arrives at Paper Street to take up his post in Project Mayhem Mathew knew his knee would heal with time, and a little bit of self-treatment. It was swollen and painful, but probably not badly damaged. Firstly, he needed to get some time off work, so called in sick with a good excuse - he had fallen down some stairs (5). They bought it, and although his workplace didnt provide medical cover, said he could have a week off - unpaid of course. Next, Mathew looked to strap it up to immobillise the joint, and pack the strapping with packs of frozen veg (5). (Skill up check: 4 = fail) This treatment would allow the leg to heal by next weeks Fight Club meeting, but the lack of professional care means that Mathew now has the trait Trick Knee: -1 to all rolls involving the right knee
Strength and technique wre useful, but Frank knew he needed staying power. he overheared a conversation on the street between two mums talking about heading to a "spinning" class at the local sports centre - an endurance based fitness session involving excercise bikes. Frank resolved to go along too, and followed them to the sports centre. The class itself was not technically demanding, and involved keeping pace with an instructor over a 90 min period. Frank enjoyed the experience (4 + 0EU -1 (not a fight)), but gained little from it. As he left, Frank wondered what a very suspicious looking Mason was up to, and nodded to Richard who was arriving at the gym...
On his way home, Frank heads to aquire the gear he needs for his Home Work. Getting hold of paint (6 -1(not a fight)) was easy - a stack of emultion tins outside a building site proved an easy place to aquire several and an industrial roller. Skeletons (2-1(not a fight) prove to be harder to find, whith there not being any readily stealable in Franks vicinity. It is early evening once Frank gets to the airport, and there appears to be some kind of disturbance (involving riot cops, plice helicopters and dogs) going on regarding some kind of high profile figure - looking to take advantage of this Frank heads to the employee entrance and tries to walk brazenly past the distracted security teams (5 -1(not a fight). Looking like a maintenance worker thanks to the painting gear, they dont give him a second glance. Frank weighs up his options - where should he paint? (5 +1IN). The fact flights are still landing and taking off makes the main runway a very bad idea, so Frank settles on decorating the run-off area with some skulls, offensive slogans and outlines of skeltal figures. Frank aims to work quickly (4-1(not a fight), and although the resulting work doesnt count as art, anyone landing can clearly make out an 8ft skull asking them "Why the fuck would you want to visit here?". Unfortunatley for Frank, just as he is finishing off, a large airliner comes in to land, its engines roaring (injury check=3+0EU = failed). The huge noise damages Franks hearing, and as a result of his severley reduced sense he will suffer -1 to all rolls for 1 week. Frank has been invited to join Project Mayhem next week.
Sandra was well aware that one could make all manner of explosives from common household ingredients, if one was so inclined. A short shoplifting spree (5) at WalMart provided 2 tins of hairspray, a bottle of bleach, and some mothballs. Combining these into rudimentary flashbangs at the same abandoned warehouse she used before (4 + 1(bonus)), Sandra found she had enough material at hand to produce 3 devices, and found the exercise a useful work out of her skills (Sandra has aquired 3 home made flashbangs, and will get a +2 bonus for all rolls of a 4, 5 or 6 when using explosives). With that out of the way, Sandra heads to Lou's bar, looking to strike up a conversation with anyone looking suspicious. Whilst she does engage a number of petty criminals in small talk (1+0IN), none of them know anything about any explosives. Dissapointed, Sandra heads off to paper street, to take up her spot in Project Mayhem.
Jack was frustrated by his broken nose, and set off to a free clinic to get it fixed. These places were always busy with the unfortunate and downtrodden, and tonight was no exception. Jack waited almost 2 hours to be seen (1), and it was just his luck to be given a junior doctor after a frustrating wait. The novice treating him (3) was able to set the nose and strap it to support it, but it was not a neat job: Jack has gained the trait Glass Nose: -1 to all injury checks on the face. To the doctors credit, he did give jack a bottle of (6) tramadol painkillers. Jack has obtained Awesome Painkillers: removes the effect of any injuries for 1 turn.
With his nose fixed, Jack went for a long, contemplative run. He forced himself to vary his pace to fully work out his fitness (5), and as a result gains +1EU
Returning to the same dojo, Chuckie felt the familiar rush of anger upon seeing the portrait of his father. An advanced Karate class was in progress, and Chuckie joined in, brushing up on the finer points of his technique (3+3(kung fu bonus)). Now a skilled practitioner of Kung-Fu, Chuckie learnt little new from the session, but did feel his fitness was developing.Chuckie gains +1EU.
Dan felt no nerves lining up to receive the ball as the game kicked off - he knew before Fight Club he would have felt anxios to perform, but now self doubt was replaced with steely determination (6 + 1(tackler)). Dan played the game of his life, with his team up against it in the first half he made numerous tackles, turned the ball over several times and was a safe pair of hands in the line out. In the second half his teams fortunes changed, and Dan found himself used as a crash ball carrier (2+3ST), and whilst he didnt score any tries, his bulldozing runs set up 2 for his team, who run out winners 21 to 13. Dan has earned $325
Smarting from defeat, Lewis wanted to take his anger out in the only way he knew how - by breaking something or someone. Passing a news stand he noticed a front page story - the head of Dutch Petrolium wad flying in to open thier new refinery on the edge of the city, and protests at thier poor environmental track record were expected at the airport. Lewis headed straght there. By the time he arrived (2) the Police had already formed a shield wall cutting off the main body of the protestors off from the terminal. Joining the protestors, Lewis hurled a few rocks at the Police (3+1(crime!)), who responded by closing in with dogs. Things were tense, and it was no suprise that other protestors began hurling rocks before charging into the shield wall. Lewis knew what came next - tear gas. He broke off from the body of protestors and headed for the fringes of the police line, looking to break through it (5+1(crime!)). A gap opened, and he along with a number of other rioters burst through. The tricke bacme a flood, and soon riot cops were left isolated amongst large numbers of angry protestors. Lewis targetted one who was wrestling with a dreadlocked man, and aimed a running kick at his knees from behind (1+1ST+1(crime!)+1(dirty) which takes the cop to the floor. Taking his helmeted head between his hands, Lewis rammed it into the floor again and again (2+1ST+1(crime!)) until he felt the man go limp. A gunshot into the air jolted Lewis to his feet, and the dreadlocked man dragged him away from the unconcious cop. Turning into the night, Lewis ran, vanishing amongst the crowd as the SWAT team rounded up stragglers. Lewis has gained the trait: Fights Very Dirty: +2 to all rolls targetting soft spots.

Next Steps:The 2 current members of project mayhem are welcome to start thier current mission. This can take as long as you want. Actions and rolls can take place along side the usual fight cliub meets and midweek turns. If you have been invited to join Project Mayhem, you are free to join in completing the mission as soon as you indicate if you wish to accept the invitiation. I will keep Project Mayhem status and info updated as its membership, supplies and so on change.
