Well, it took just over a week, but here you go...
Midweek Rolls for Week 5Taking Frank with him, Richard went back the the sports centre, totally not just to see the
young and fit instructor again, oh no...
Anyway, the class itself was similar in nature to last time, if a little more technical. Richard coped (6+4EU) very well with the demands of the class. One of the middle aged women pointed out that Richard had appeared to have lost a little weight since last class. In addition to the ego boost,
Richard has gained +1SP.
Asking amongst the other Project Mayhem members gave Lewis the location of the oft frequented city centre dojo, and the times of a class suitable for his current level of skill. Stepping through the door and preparing himself near the back of the class, Lewis couldnt help but notice the large portrait of Chuck Noriss high on the wall, and he found it hard to supress a sneer. When the Sensei welcomed the new members to the beginners class, Lewis felt disgusted at himself to be amongst such wet and weak individuals. The physical demnds of the class were well within Lewis' capabilites (2+1AG), but the methods practiced felt alien and clumsy - it would take more practice before he was proficient enough to use them in combat.
Richard convinced Frank to join him down at the city gym Aerobics class - the clinching factor was Richard's suggestion that it would be a good way for him to get faster and lighter on his feet, and most defenitly not the idea that the instructor was a highly impressive physical specemin. Frank initially struggled with the footwork of the routine, and was a little peeved by the way Richard was getting more attention than him, (6+0EU) but he had little difficulty in keeping up with the pace of the excercise. Sweating heavily at the end, the excercise had done him good, and he felt noticably lighter on his feet. Frank has gained +1SP
(Activity Decision Roll = 2.... time for some risk taking!). Chuckie elected to practice his stealth abilites by heading to the mall and trying a little pocket and bag dipping. Having done a complete circuit of the whole centre, he elects to operate (5) in the food court, targeting people whose hands are full of food. The area is very busy, and nobody is appearing to pay him any attention - Chuckie makes an effort to look interested in the menu displays and in joining queues, and looks to pick off people one at a time. (Attempt 1:5, pass. Attempt 2: 3, partial pass, no more goes though). His first target is an elderly woman who has left her handbag wide open (5) - a purse with
$150 in assorted notes is the prize, and she is none the wiser as Chuckie turns and leaves the line. His second target was a older man in a suit, having a noisy conversation on his cellphone. Chuckie approaches softly, and dips into his pocket (6), lifting out a valet parking ticket. At that moment a pair of children run into Chuckie from behind, knocking him into the suited man. Apologising, Chuckie turns to leave, walking purposefully to the valet parking area. Whilst 2 thefts are not near enough to gain any stealth skill he possiblity of aquiring a car more than makes up for it. He hands the ticket to the Valet, and is (5) pleasantly suprised when a
Lexus IS200 is returned to him. Chuckie drives slowly away to return the car to paper street with a big grin on his face.
Construction is a boom industry in the city. The focal point for this is the transformation of derelict industrial units into moern solutions for urban living. (Target choice: 5) A half finished insult to steel, glass and concrete standing on the boundary between the industrial sector and city centre stans out amongst the sprawl of new constructions. Jack makes a beeline for the busy looking portacabin near the gate to the site, where a number of tired looking contractors are heading in and out of in a steady procession. Within, sitting at a desk sprawling with paperwork is a stressed and chainsmoking representative of the constuction firm, barking orders to the builders while having a loud conversation on the phone, where he appears to insult the marital status of the parents of whoever he is talking at whilst simultaneously complaining about the theft of his car at lunchtime from the mall and the fact that the building is overbudget and overschedule. Jack patiently waits while he ends his conversation, and bluntly asks him "You got any work?" (4). The suited an looks him up and down and responds: "For you big guy, I will pay $100 a day or you to haul everything and anything. Get to it."...
Jack turns, heads out of the office and is greeted by the site foreman, who hands over a high visibility vest and a hard hat, and insturct him to "get shifting those there cement bags". 8 hours later (4+3ST+1EU), his muscles ache
but Jack has gained +1ST and $100.As the site closes up, Jack does a (3) not-very-good impression of being busy as the site security do one last round before locking up for the night. Jack is on the look out for a
portable arc welder. Whilst "tidying" up some tools and materials Jack has a good rummage for one (1+0IN), but is unable to see one. The security patrol arrives, and escorts him off the site as they lock down the compound for the evening.
Before the raid takes place, Mathew heads to a more honest activity - his red eye night shift down at the airport. A number of flights are scheduled to land in the small hours, and Mathew finds himself very busy throwing unloading cases with precision for 3 solid hours (4+1ST+2 (airport)). The cases feel lighter than they did a few weeks ago, and in additon to $50 cash for his efforts Mathew has gained +1ST. Loading the last flight Mathew considers chancing his luck in "borrowing" a suitcase (2+1IN), but a clear opportunity does not present itself and a little casual thievery will have to wait.
Heading to work very early the Monday after Fight Club, Lee uses a bit of
Google-Fu to find out how to set a broken nose. Browsing the vieos, Lee is confident he could self treat, but waits until the nd of his teaching day to make an effort of it (1+2IN). Despite follwing the guides carefully, the pain of treating his own nose means Lee does not do a good job at all - whilst he does cruch his nose back into place, it is misshapen and will be a future source of weakness:
Lee has gained the trait Explodyface: attack rolls to the face of 5 or more will knock him out if they pass a d6 check roll at more than 3. The time taken to treat this injury leaves Lee with no time to head down the gym for further training.
Relaxing in the communal area of Paper Street, Sandra uses the iPad to access an unsecured wireless network in order to research great leaders and thier methods (content check: 5+0IN). A Wikiwander takes her through the life and times of Alexander, Caesar, Hannibal, Sung Tzu, Tokugawa, Nobunaga, Napoleon, Trafalgar and Patton. (Skill up check:3+0IN). Whilst the information is stimulating and leads to Sandra gaining +1IN, she learns little about actual leadership methods.
Mason heads on foot straight to the slaughterhouse, where the staff on the gate know him well enough by now to wave him straight in. It turns out (1+1(slauhterhouse)) that there are no deliveries due today, and instead all workers are being directed to clean the slaughterhouse floor from top to bottom. Mason gets (1+1(slaughterhouse)) trash hauling duty, and spends the next 12 hours carrying trash cans of unpleasant waste to hoppers. It is easy but boring work, and Mason takes $75 back to paper street for his troubles.
As Dan lined up to receive kick off, his team mates could clearly se a steely glint in his eye and a determination in the way he was currying himself that was not there before.
Dans performance (4+1+1) is impressive on attack and defense, but his team does not live up to his standards and they end up beaten by 21 points to 3. As a result

Art used to mean something. Great works by great humans celebraing our greatest triumphs, hopes, fears or failures. Now it is a joke, fed by the undeserved rich, throwing thier money away for junk with no soul. Point this out to the brainwashed masses - turn the Museum of Modern Art in the city centre into its own "installation".
- There are no visible security guards on the main entrance, but it is overlooked by a camera
- The main lobby area is lined with smaller items, and has a central staircase leading upwards to the upper floors where the art can be found, and downwards to a cafe and staff areas. Next to this staircase appears to be some kind of security desk.
- Each floor has one guard on a circular patrol. Mason was not there long enough to see if there is any kind of duty changeover
- The central staircase links all floors - the gallery floors are wide walkways in a square shape around the central stair cluster, with floor to ceiling windows on the outside. A crew of windowcleaners was visible outside the building in a cradle.
- A camera overlooks the way in and out of each floor, but does not cover the exhibits themselves.
- There are 5 floors, each floor themed around a particular medium. Mason forgets the details about what was on each floor as he cared little for the style of art, but did notice the presence of a sprinkler system.
- The central staircase continues to the roof, where there is a fire escape down the back of the building into an alleyway
- The building has a large rear door with a smaller door built into it, locked via coded keypad, seemingly used as a staff entrance and a delivery door.
- the stairs continue downwrds to an underground level
- The underground level is built around one long striaght corridor. One side has a cramped staff room, 2 small admin offices and toilets.
- On the other side of this corridor is a cramped cafe area
- The corridor leads to a service lift, which rises up to the large rear door and small loading area
