Some people wrinkle without getting old.  It's more common in people who spend more time in the sun and wind and rain than the forums.

Since this dwarf apparently moves around, we know a beard must be controlling it. Perhaps this particular beard mistakenly implanted itself elsewhere on the body while in the mother's host's womb. Then it could be mistaken for pubes, or an epic patch of armpit hair. Or it's on the scalp, contributing to that mane.

He's actually a girl, which explains his long hair, his beautiful face, and his fatsuit. His father wanted a boy, you see.

Contrary to popular belief, there are no female dwarves. Only slightly less manly dwarves, who often choose to harbor the young offspring of dwarven spore-birth.

"A former member of the Bodices of Wood."

...

Also, any fat worshiper of Urdim the Oily Luxuries would be condemned to the magma pumps in my fort, regardless of their beard status. That just seals the cake (um, yeah, the cake) that this guy is in need of some hard, dorfy labor.

So:
Assign him to dwarven child care or military?
But it is true that dwarven child care frequently consists of mothers attempting to shove their babies onto the swords of others...
At the moment he is a semi constructive hunter.

Seems pretty dwarven to me. Maybe a little to dwarven?
He has three other gods too: one of metals, another of minerals and the last of jewels.
Seems he's trying a might hard to fit in...

By the description I'd say a Halfling, but then the hair throws it all off.

My guess is that he has a past he isn't all that enthusiastic about, but he's come to see the light of pitch-dark dwarven society. He's probably depressed about his lack of a beard, and tries to play it off with that oh-so-awkward loud laugh he does when he's surprised. His friendliness is often for naught, given his inability to manage social relationships, but deep down he's just a good ol' dwarf who wants to hang back with some buddies around a barrel of longland beer and discuss ballista parts.

By Armok he is a true dwarf!
He had been equipped with full iron armour, a gem encrusted steel war-hammer and a master-work iron axe and tossed into the military. He then proceeded to take on an ambush by himself and kill two gobbos despite the fact he has no weapon skills. reinforcements arrived and helped him deal with the remaining goblins. I see potential in him and he shall stay in the military till death.

Military dwarves tend to burn brightly on both ends.
I am rewarding him with this artefact shield that was just created.
