How would I go about having a bird have the wings be a different color than the rest of the bird?
Feathers or skin? Dogs and cats have different coloring on body parts, you can research this.

Here's some examples how to select tissue layers for color setting.  You might want separate wing feathers layer and body feathers layer.

Is there any way to make a creature's meat poisonous? As in, when it gets butchered, is there any way to add a syndrome to the meat and prepared organs that would result?

yes.

define the layer/meat the same way you would a poison.  The game will track it.

Yeah, sticking the syndrome into the definition for that creature's muscle seems to have worked. Thanks for the help!

EDIT: While I'm at it, is there any way to partially cover a body part with a tissue? Such as adding a layer of rock to a head that only covers half the head?

What exact tokens should a night creature have to be a spouse converter, in addition to NIGHT_CREATURE_HUNTER and the two caste tokens? Mine sometimes don't convert despite having lairs and difficulty and things like that.
