The Catastrophe. An event unlike any other, that left the world in tatters. All of East Asia, save for Japan and a small portion of land in China, was destroyed. The government tried to cover it up, and for a while it worked. But for Leader, that wasn't going to cut it. Leader demanded the information be made public. And so, he made the Forum. And with the Forum came the Original Users. And from the Original Users, you might ask? Well, from them came The Pantheon. No one was quite sure how, but The Pantheon was persistent, no matter if membership changed.
In the beginning, the Forum and all the groups within it acted as a place of protest. Of anonymous power. But that power grew, and Leader couldn't take it. Leader killed himself over his abomination. And then his successor came. His successor, the new Leader. The new Leader grew the power of the Forum even further. It became a den of online and real world pirates, vigilantes fighting the growing power of the government, and crime lords seeking peaceful retirement. And what of The Pantheon?
The Pantheon grew with it. The new Leader changed them. Made some stronger, others faster, and even others still smarter. He sought dominance in the weakening world. And dominance he would have. Through The Pantheon, he would take it. But whether or not they would let him take
them is yet to be decided.
OOC -
http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=109956.0Days are separated into 13 hours, with 11 set aside for eating, sleeping, and general care. There will be 8 players, and death should be expected to happen. The players will represent The Pantheon, and there will be a waiting list of 7 players serving as the Original Users. The Original Users will be expected to take care of public events for The Pantheon, so whenever one comes up, the focus changes to those on the waiting list. A public event will be held once every game weeks. Public events are 6 hour days, 7 hours put aside for handling the actual event.
All attempted actions will be run on a 0d100 alongside whatever modifications you have. Modification will be determined by what member of The Pantheon you are, alongside accumulated skills. Original Users have to earn their modifications through public events.
Actions are to be separated in hour-long segments. No more than five actions a day can be done, I'm running this by myself, I can't deal with 13 hour-long actions from each player.
Critical success on rolls are any rolls that go above 119. Critical failure is 0 and below.
Time will typically not be a huge factor. But putting too much or too little time into something is discouraged. Speaking to your fellow players is a free action. Just know that you'll all be in separate locations within the game unless you decide to group together.
This is a political conspiracy drama, so I'd appreciate you all treating it fairly seriously, but try to have fun when making your posts. Get weird if you want, as long as it doesn't break atmosphere. Some of you can get more weird than others.
The character sheet will be hosted both here and in the OOC. The first eight applications can be submitted here, but from then on should be submitted in the OOC. Advanced skills are determined by who among the pantheon you are, mundane are whatever you want them to be. You can take four advanced skills, and 8 mundane, or you can sacrifice 3 mundane for another advanced.
Major skills give +25 to actions, while mundane give +5.

A member of The Pantheon driven insane by the original Leader. He frequently hallucinates that he is talking to an officer who has pulled him over on the freeway when driving. This officer is a representation of the sanity of the original Collapse. It is unknown what causes such realistic hallucinations, but there is no doubt that they are the only thing keeping The Collapse alive.
The Collapse is the greatest speaker among The Pantheon despite their insanity, and will frequently speak on behalf of the group. The Collapse is also the only member of The Pantheon capable of freely talking back to the new Leader.
The Collapse has no set home, and will almost always be on the road. While driving, if on the freeway, he will have to stop to calm down and talk to his long missing sanity.
No one knows why, but The Collapse is an excellent marksman.
modifications - Speech(+30), Driving(+-100), Joy(-100), Stability(-10), Aim(+100)
major skills: Public Speaking, Deception, Voice Cracking, Breaking, Cracking, Interrogation, Spying, Disguise
The Lancer is the only member of The Pantheon to swear complete loyalty to the old Leader. He was given inhuman strength and speed in order to protect the new leader, gifts he rarely uses. The Lancer is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, but is proficient in most weapons, and forms of burglary, both digital and real world. The Lancer is also the most ruthless among the members, very rarely taking hostages, and always on the run from the police.
The Lancer has an irrational fear of small rodents, nobody has ever bothered wondering why. The Lancer was the very first member of The Pantheon ever recruited. For some reason, women are unable to become The Lancer, with the answer being marked off as a mild form of misogyny the original had. Years of new Lancers has, for the most part, removed the traces of misogyny left.
The Lancer is known to be directly opposed by The Bell Ringer for his flashiness.
modifications - Combat(+55), Women(-55), Burglary(+40), Joy(-100), Hostages(-200)
major skills: Combat Mastery, Theft, Killing, Cracking, Forgery, Stealth, Survival, Infiltration
One of three members of The Pantheon originally female. The Bell Ringer is considered one of the most important members of the group. She is in charge of choosing which of the Original Users takes the place of a dead member. She is also in charge of preparing safe spots from the government, and stealing any and all physical documents existing of The Pantheon. She is the only member given a specific duty relating to The Pantheon, but lacks any major skills. Instead, she is given proficiency in all areas, but mastery of none. It is up to the Bell Ringer what skills are pursued.
The Bell Ringer is notable for being the only happy member.
modifications - All(+40)
The Scribe is a recorder of history. Never allowed to record The Pantheon, but always aching to, The Scribe is the least connected to the group. The Scribe is the only member given financial aid from Leader, and thus has an obscene amount of funding in their duty to record. The Scribe lacks major skills, much like The Bell Ringer, instead opting for the ability to promote half of their mundane skills to major.
modifications - Recording(+100), Joy(-100), Disguise(+50), People(-50)
The only member of group given the right to directly interfere with politics. Widely considered the most dangerous, the Saboteur's job is to destroy corrupt government without getting caught. Under the event that any information is leaked, the current Saboteur must commit suicide. No Saboteur has ever needed to use that fail-safe due to the risks involved. A side effect of this is not knowing anything about any Saboteur ever admitted to The Pantheon other than the initial four major skills mastered by the original. The Saboteur is also the only member known to die only of natural causes other than The Bell Ringer.
modifications - Politics(+40), Joy(-100), Stealth(+100), Deception(+40)
major skills: Sabotage, Disguise, Survival, Politics
The Cleaner is always the most short lived of The Pantheon. Their duty is to go into areas the group has been active in and clear virtually everything that happened off of the records. Cleaners are considered the most durable of The Pantheon, capable of taking a round from a tank at point blank. They lack any and all humanity they may have had, and are loyal only to the group, not even Leader could order him around.
Even before the group was changed, Cleaners were expected to have superhuman capabilities. The change only made that easier.
Because of the nature of the Cleaner's duty, they often are forced to commit suicide in such a way that hides all traces of The Pantheon, alongside having the least happiness.
No members of The Pantheon have ever met a Cleaner, they are kept separate.
modifications - Joy(-2000), Solitude(+40)
major skills: Survival, Covering, Disguise, Combat, Cleaning, Infiltration, Perception, Escape
In charge of handling expenses, the Money is the only member to never require combat. The original Money was a pacifist, abhorrent of the Lancer. The Money typically dies when they are arrested. Rather than reveal the assets of The Pantheon, they will always commit suicide before investigation can proceed. The Money is also in charge of monitoring the funds of the Scribe, and maintaining a stab;e stream of money.
The Money has access to every bank in the world, though not technically through legal means. As such, they remain a citizen of no country, and live on a private island.
The Money is most commonly an interrogator, using non-violent methods to crack the hostage without damaging The Pantheon.
modifications - Joy(-100), Money(+100), Bribery(+100)
major skills: Deception, Espionage, Cracking, Stealth, Management, Aversion, Negotiation, Interrogation
The Saint is in charge of religious dealings. They are considered high ranking members of every religion, and as such exist with multiple identities and faces. Despite this, they are terrible at disguise, and must rely on the Saboteur to change them as necessary. The Saint is no pacifist, however. They aid in stopping wars through religion, killing as needed. The Saint is the greatest master of deception among the group.
The Saint is the only member with limited time. They will always have a fatal disease, but this has not been figured out. As the name implies, the Saint dies as a saint among every religion.
modifications - Joy(-100), Deception(+150), Disguise(-100)
major skills: Religion, Speech, Peacekeeping, War, Combat, Stealth, Leadership
