Forum Game Memorial of Hopeful Resurrection
« on: May 20, 2012, 06:57:52 pm »

Recently, a thread (which I haven't been able to find due to this forums sucky search function, but was called something with "most enjoyable forum game") lead to the resurrection of multiple amazing long dead forum games the creators had forgotten about and/or not realized how much they were loved, and has resulted in a marked improvement in the quality of this subforum in general as of lately!

I'm trying to do the same thing again with this thread, and if it works inquire to get it stickied, so that their benefit may continue perpetually!

So: Remember all your old favourite games, sing their detailed praise here, mourn them, and wish for thir continuation!

The thread you're thinking of is stickied at the top of this section. It's called "Forum Game List"

No, that's the exact opposite of this thread. That thread is for all currently active games, submitted by the authors to find fans. This thread is for the very very best long dead games, submitted by the fans in order to remind the authors they existed and were loved enough that people still remember them.

I don't have any forum games in mind worth resurrecting, because they either failed to entertain me, or ended on a very wonderful note.

But, I guess Elves of Amanereli needs to get a pacemaker installed, yeah?

I doubt Demonhood will ever come back to life, but it should be memorialized. It spawned 2 other forum games all on it's lonesome!

EDIT: Ah mah gawd, NUKE.19 is still active. There just might be a chance for this to live!

1. Your thread title is misspelled.
2. I kindly object to this thread, as you are basically trying to guilt trip GM's into restarting games. Problem is that I would probably fall to it, as I'm way to nice to tell people I'm killing things of. GM's often have reasons to stop updating games, and showing them can be easlier done by setting up  a forum game Hall of fame rather then this.

It's not for guilt tripping. It's for when after those reasons STOP applying, perhaps years later, or for GMs that are simply forgetful or didn't realize that old game of their was far more popular then their current ones, etc.

Guilt tripping? Hell, if I was a GM of a game and one of my games popped up here I'd feel happy that people liked my game.
