I just discovered that you can view the profiles, health, etc. of dead dwarves through the relationship screen of other dwarves they knew... it's kind of sad/tragic/creepy.

To highlight: Fikod O.: "His upper body is gone" "Cannot breathe, vision lost, ability to stand lost, ability to grasp lost"
Bomrek I. also has "Her upper body is gone" and also has "Pale" as she was killed by vampire in addition to the four above.

IIRC all dead dwarves will be missing their upper bodies on that screen, it doesn't mean anything.

Yeah. All dead dwarves show up missing their upper bodies.

Other then that it is a nice way to track dead relatives and the last thoughts of missing dwarves.

I can see my dead Dwarves very nicely thank you very much, they're still stirring in my burial pits. I think there was one swimming in my reservoir a while back.

Same, if by 'burial pits' you mean outside and by 'reservoir' you mean with the rest of the undead trying to get inside.

Heh, mines an actual graveyard. Channel down, masterwork engraved 2x1 room, place coffin, build a floor over the ramp and place their engraved slab on top.

Functional and nice :p eventually, if I get enough dug, I'll assign a tomb to each dorf ahead of time, give em some nice thoughts :p

With the new minecart system, I just cart them to the magma sea and slab them.

I place a statue of one of the Dorf Gods on top. The slabs go around it. Nothing like the God of suicide to cheer up your day.

I only get "upper body is gone" if the body went missing for some reason.  Any Dwarf whose body was recovered can still be viewed and renamed, which is good because sometimes I want to rename an entire family.

I wish their profile gave all their infos when they're dead... Currently it only displays their thoughts, not their preferences and personality. Sometimes I want to get to know a dwarf better retroactively.
