Spring March 2nd | 347 LT

It is now dawn, you wake up from your slumber.  You are in one of the three rooms at "The Arrow and the Phoenix".  You ate well last night and slept well so you are content in both regards.

The inn is at the cross point of the Permean Incision and the Rosewood Path.  Mt. Windreaper is north west across the river, the Fallow Thickets south of that. The sea is to the far south, a beachhead forming to the southeast of the Inn, The land North of that and north of the inn are open plains, which don't have a name.

You have time to perform 3 actions before midday.  Traveling to the woods, mountain, sea, or plains would take up an action, as will traveling back.  Traveling from the mountains to the sea would take 2 actions, but mountains to the sea or forest would only take 1, etc.

The inn keeper is awake.

((goal is to get a shack up ASAP to allow new people to come in.))

Adan Havershaw approaches the front desk of the Arrow and the Phoenix, intending to ask a few questions about the area. He is interested in setting up a shack in this backwoods piece of land, which is far away from where he was hunted.

"'ey innkeeps, I'd like to ask about this 'ere forest looming o'er the 'orizon? About what kind of creature I should watch out o'er there? I mean, I wouldn't like getting me hide all ripped up an' the like. Also, you don't mind me setting up shack near this nice piece o' land, right? Because that's what I intend ta' do."

((does talking to the innkeeper take an action?))

((talking does not, since you are already at the inn, if you were in the forest you wouldn't be able to talk to him, etc))

"I've never been deep into the woods myself, but I'm sure you'll be fine friend."  he turns back to stirring some stew.

"I could go fetch a few pieces o' lumber for firewood, if you'd allow me ta' stay in this place fer another day, or a few shiny pieces o' gold. Whaddya say?"

Adan grasps the hilt of his ax, and prepares to turn around and leave for the forest, but not without waiting for a reply. He hopes he would be hired by the innkeeper for lumberjack work. After all, nothing is free, and if he ran out of coins, he'd probably have to live outside, which is a very bad idea.

((You do know you have money right?)) ((Reread, you indeed do))

"This winter wasn't very cold, so no I'm well stocked, but if you are still around when I run out, I'll let you know" the innkeeper says without turning around.

Robert comes down the stairs.
Good morning mister. I doubt there are any mines or large rock outcrops, barring the mountain of course, that you could point me to. Or any smithing work that needs to be done?

((I'm not going to speak in an accent, since english is my second language already.))

Roberts wait for a bit, and then asks again:
Uhm, mister, I asked you something about local availiblity of mines and or rocky areas.

If he still doesn't answer, this are my actions. (Take the wheelbarrow with me, leaving the anvil in my room)
1. Go to mountain
2. Prospect mountain for ores
3. Mine or continue prospecting

Unless anyone ask me to help with anything of course.
