So apparently the higher level gladiators get, the faster they move. Up to the point where it just gets stupid.

Yeah, the amount of attacks/time gets pretty stupid. That's why drawing out fights is a lot harder then it is at first.

I'm wondering what I should do about Mennas. He's at 136-22, but he wins almost every battle via exhaustion (its actually quite hard to lose when you stack def and parry everything...). I'll need to figure out how to make his offense good eventually. Parrying is great, but it does damage so slowly... I might smack him for 100 damage every couple rounds, and I can't keep that up long enough to kill people before I hit exhaustion. Need to switch to tank mode and outlast them...

Oh yeah, that reminds me, 1/1 Tank on I am Very Exhausted if you have a War. Makes passing out almost never happen, although sometimes he'll go tanky tanky too early and you'll pay for it. Might want to set him up so he won't tank if his opponent is very injured, but rather try and finish him off with a low-activity power blow :)

Shale just fought Armok.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Interesting exchange of titanic but still reasonable blows.

Armok is actually death-sick right now after his encounter with Body Snatcher.

Oh, cool. This thread is back. Quick update for all my gladiators:

Reginald and Ingrid are being generally awesome destroyers of (almost) all who stand in their way. Reggie has almost reached T3 in the arena challenges, and Ingrid has managed to obtain some splendid purple gear. Uilliam is just now starting to recover from his horrible losing streak, and is slowly becoming less of a disappointment. My newest war gladiator, Gwendolyn, has had a bit of rough luck, but seems to be getting back on her feet as well. Overall, things are pretty swell.

Here's a nice example of a succesful defensive fight. I ended up winning on both endurance and health, had to go in tank mode a few times since the enemy had formidable endurance as well.
In the end I had about 20% endurance and 85% health left ^^

5 minutes is pretty long as this level I  think.

Here's another nice one. Took no damage the entire fight. :)

ThreeToe is doing very well with a record of 23-2-0 so far. Grom Ironjaw is going down.

EDIT:

And Armok has died again. That's what I get for making him fight while he was still death-sick.

I think I found some sort of glitch...

After Armok got killed he somehow got moved to the #1 spot in Legends when I resurrected him. He hasn't unlocked any new titles or achievements, though.

EDIT: Never mind he got the title and achievement after fighting someone.

ThreeToe has the #1 spot in the Black Market :P *Until he gets kicked into 3rd place and now awaits Jack Pot to kick him out of there with a perfect record.

How exactly are you meant to get those "Throne" achievements? How are you supposed to win 7 fights in a row while at the top spot without getting booted into the next rank?

Well, I don't know how you're supposed to do it, but how I managed it with X was that I somehow got in 1st place and was 3k points over the guy in second. I then undertook a (totally trying to do this; totally not horrible luck) massive campaign of losing like 2/3 fights. Managed to get the throne achievement in no time!

Yeah - I'm really loving the +250 HP achievement you get for hitting 100/100 points used... 'course, now I'm paying for it (literally) because I'm trying to get the Rage 30-level skill for her, and I have to spend trophies to get out of some of her more useless skills.

3 attacks before Aegis makes her move wut? Curse you Ashenzari, curse yuuuuuu!
To make up for the defeat she went ahead and killed two other rage two hands, that'll show them cocky berserks.  :P

I see now though I need to work on intiative if I don't want to get smacked around by rage two hands as much. Guess I'm training armor movement and warcry!
