Just two more trophies til I have my theatrics Elaar! Now I just have to hope that all the possible names I have in mind for him aren't taken...

Oh I got me an Elaar also. War polearm.
S 60 I 73 A 76 S 74 Sz 78 P 65 Ch 70
Pretty good no? I thought the stats quite suited an Elaar.

Anyway, I need some advice on strategy for rage two hand. My rage isn't doing tooo bad, about 66% win rate but I think she could do better.
What kind of strategy do you guys use? Are the berserk and killshot styles good at all with most people using the default styles that counter it.
Because right now I'm finding it's very much hit or miss. Either she gets a good attack in early and the fight kind of snowballs from there, or she gets overwhelmed and struggles to get a single attack in.
Currently using

Priority    Trigger                                           Activity      Fighting Style      Blood Lust
1           Start off                                         5               Bash                  10
2           I am very injured                              5               Kill Shot              10
3           I am very tired                                 5               Kill Shot              10
4           Even Numbered Rounds                      5               Kill Shot              10

She's a trug so not sure to what extent I can use berserk. Not to much endurance to work with.

Something that I've found helps Reginald, is telling him to just go completely apeshit berserk when the opponent is low on health, since it's still entirely possible for the enemy to make a comeback and steal the win if you don't take them out on the first kill shot. You should also try looking into what kind of gladiators are managing to beat yours, and devote a priority to dealing specially with those types.

In other news, I've just bought Ingrid her first blue item, a shiny new scale mail armpiece that gives her great defense and and a splendid attack bonus (It also doesn't weigh very much, which is good news for a little bugger like her), to reward her excellent performance as of late. The money would have gone toward buying Reggie a badass flamberge, but the incompetent bastard had to go off and get himself killed...Again.

I wonder if armor values only come into play when an opponent strikes that spot or if you have a "total armor stat" that will reduce damage. Because if armor doesn't matter except for the spot that is hit, I can tell you that 9/10 of the damage you take is going to be in your chest except for against AI opponents. EVERYONE aims for the chest...

Not entirely true. I'm fond of going for arms and legs for what seems like better chance of knockdowns and bleeds.

My rage fighter tends to go for the head. Most people fall down when she crits them in the head once or twice.

At this point, I have a gladiator of every school, and they're doing relatively well.

Heh, well I guess it doesnt apply to everyone. The overwhelming majority of damage I take is to my body, though.

Also, I was really hoping dual-wielding would eventually catch up to 2handers. I'm all the way to Legends, almost past that, and 2h is still king. Smashing someone around for 500 damage a round is insanely powerful and easy. Ashenzari is a 2h rage, and I barely need to take care of her. She has a very limited item set (easy to shop for), almost non-existent tactics (she has two.), and brings in the most kills, and wins challenges the most.

Lugonu and Cerebov feel the pain. Dual-wielding is powerful for the first 20 levels or so, but then it kind of dies out. Cerebov has to rely on massive bleeding to win, and Lugonu more often then not has to use the cheap tactic of create distance + tank. I rarely beat 2handers, though. I cant draw the battle out long enough for bleeding to do what I need to.

Seems like the opposite for me. At level 31, duel-wielding Ingrid has been destroying the vast majority of gladiators she goes up against, due to the fact that she can hit decently and consistently throughout the match, and usually has enough health to able to outlast people if her endurance gets too low and she goes into tank mode.

Reginald, on the other hand, though racking up more kills, can be fucked over pretty easily by things like early disarms, heavy bleeding or one too many missed shots, making him far less reliable.

Curses, Aegis was so close to the 7 wins in first place champion bracket, when she suddenly needs to kick ass and kill the challenger, during death weakness even. Oh well, legend here I come!

Bleh, Madame X just upgraded her old blue level 12 two-hander for a new level 30 purple two-hander.

Better stats, better damage... and she loses the first two fights with it, after winning the last 6 or 8 (and getting two kills in a row) with her old weapon.

Luck of the draw, I suppose, but annoying.

Also: kinda funny - either the RNG burped, or Madame X had some kind of personal vandetta against another glad. Three fights in a row against the same person - lost (but it was close), won, won (killed them.)

Yah, I'm not pleased with the money-grubbing on purples... There should still be a gold option on those, just make it far higher then the blues. As it is, I'll only have a purple if luck out and get it from tavern quests.

Come coin reset, Cerebov vs Madame X... to the death >:3

Edit: Ouch. Eek. Ahh! Cerebov's going to feel that one in the morning. Swap weapons? ;D

Heh - I saw that fight. Yeah - figured out the poblem with my settings.

Apparently axes like bashing, but if you tell a sword to do that, your glad just hits people with the flat of the sword (or something, I dunno - it's stupid. The game should say something like "We noticed that you've told your gladiator to not use the pointy part of their weapon... are you sure you want to do this?"), switching her over to 'slashing' for her main style fixed things right up.

I agree, especially after he removed garanteed trophies from challenges and kills. Although remember - it used to cost you throphies for both blues AND purples, so theoretically you're better off then you used to be.

I actually decided to use their sponsor program to sign up for a free month of Netflix for 140-odd trophies (not a bad deal, since I was planning on doing that anyway.) Also tried the 450 trophy Discover card offer, but despite being approved and physically receiving the card in the mail, their support staff remains obstinate that they're not going to award me the trophies, due to some technicality.

Yea, if you pay attention to the fights, your gladiator and in extension you, will be ridiculed by the crowd/enforcer.  I noticed cause of my Theatrics dual wielding their exotics, their weapons are varied...

Oh wow, Aegis is definatly getting used to her fighting style I've laid out for her. An impressive duel against someone with double the amount of fights, the opponent only managed to get one hit in.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Block after parry after block, it's beautiful.  :'(
Sadly lost the fight, we were both on 0 endurance. Tough luck.

Introducing...UILLIAM, THEATRICS GLADIATOR!!!

Stats are 78 strength, 73 intellect, 69 agility, 66 stamina, 72 size, 68 presence, and 61 chi. Not the all time best, but I can work with it. The Falchion-wielding Elaar is off to a commendable start, and I see him bringing great fame and riches to my stable in the hopefully-not-so-distant future.
