Great Short Stuff got his first loss because the enforcer saved him over his victim, he rigged the damn fight, SS had more hp then him.

The 'best' is when both glads run out of endurance at the same time, especially if one is significantly more hurt then the other, yet is still picked as the winner.

That said, I haven't seen that much since I got over level 10 or so, now it's mostly bitching when my glad with 80 health, 10 bleeding gives up to an opponent that has 80 health, 40 bleeding - you couldn't have held out two more rounds?

Yeah, 36 wins 1 loss 4 kills, good for a start I guess, I dont have a problem with endurance yet, but I do run low on health some times due to him being a snivler.

I just attribute that to the winner being able to get the last hit in, that would have killed/beat ya.

Say what's the max level you can get in this game? I'm considering spending my vast wealth to buy my fav glad some decent equipment, but it costs a fortune for even a single blue piece.
I'd need to know when the propper time is to much such an investment. Currently lv 28, and my treasury is at 44500 gold.

Given that the shelf-life of a good blue item is quite a bit longer then a green (one of my glads is using a two-handed axe that's now 10 or 12 levels below her; same-level greens are only just now getting up to the same DPS) I think it's worth buying up blues whenever you can afford them. Also, don't forget that once you've spent the 100 gold to get into the blacksmith's back room, the cost for having him cycle his goods is pretty much nothing (10 gold, I think?), so it's well worth looking for something good.

Besides, what else are you going to spend your cash on?

Lower levels, you can do pretty decent with 3/3 or 4/4...   Actually, Elite and lower... you should have a pretty good win/lose ratio with that activity/bloodlust... if there isn't anything else wrong with your slave.  Just make sure you are keeping your weapon skill up.

I've got a Theatrics human running at 10/10 and a War Elaar running at 10/1, both at WS 7. I'm doing pretty well, and rare is the time I loose because I run out of endurance. At this point it's going to take a stupid amount of effort to get that WS any higher; is it /really/ worth it?

I hate Create Distance. I just dont know how to win against such a stupid tactic. Changing my strats to deal with it ruins my glad against anything else, and its not like I know when I'm about to go up with one of these people.

Its just annoying. I never get damaged, he just tanks and kicks me away every round until I tire out. I'd need a good 5-6x my offensive capabilities to kill him before falling over exhausted.

It's not all fun and games though D:

Tehsid's strategy revolved around knocking his enemy down and going full Bloodlust-crazy on them. Now, "My Opponent is Prone" is no longer an event trigger. He's losing a lot more fights now, and Miss Demeanor somehow lost two whole rows of strategies!

Level 15 or 16 opens the "opponent is on the ground" event trigger.

Made a pretty terrible mistake that cost me a bunch of losses. I took my gold and bought Miss Demeanor a really awesome blue-ranked two-handed flail to replace her old flamberge. However, in every fight after the replacement, she rarely landed a hit and it never did more than 3-5 damage.

Eventually I figured out the problem: All of her strategies revolved around slashing, which is kinda difficult with a blunt weapon :P
Now she's kicking ass and taking names just like old times. She became the Elite Champion before getting bumped up to Juggernaut!

ETA: I call hax!!!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
All grey equipment, with lower stats in every category, murdered my heavily armored War glad in two hits.

Makes me wonder if I should be slashing or bashing with my axes. I figured maces and flails all used bash attacks, but hell...

Also makes me wonder why the dev decided to give us the option of using inferior weapon styles. There's no benefit of bashing with a slashing weapon, and theres no drawback to simply using the right attack style. Seems like a noob trap.
