Ugh getting real annoyed by this games game mechanics. The game punishes defensive fighters so severely it's not even funny.
I wish I had a 'attack every sixth round' strategy or something to avoid having the enforcer slap me silly. Or you know to have a fair fight without getting punished for being defensive...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I mean isn't that fight just rediculous. They should just redo endurance so this rubbish isn't necesary :s

Let's play fucken roulette and see who the enforcer decides to finish first. Rediculous.

Another great fight ruined by interference from the crowd.

Panzer and me, we're the only ones who understood one another in that arena.  :'(

Well that's the first Tier of the arena done.

Edit: Tier 2 has captain Jack, I must kill him.

Edit edit: Christ Velupes is dangerous even disarmed.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

She punched him. Through the chest. With her fist. Dear lord.

Imagine how I feel against defensive glads. Theatrics glads get low damage weaponry; I might to 50 damage a round while you sit there picking your nose and getting slammed around by the enforcer. Unfortunately the enforcer will kill you a lot slower then I will lose endurance...

I really with that "mega defensive" style of gameplay was tossed out. I hate facing enemies that win by doing nothing at all. That armor is supposed to support you, not win for you.

Regardless, I'm first and second in the black market. Cerebov (probably) will stay in the top 3, Ashenzari might get kicked down.

Also also, Panzer defeated! Ashenzari beat him to a pulp instantly, Cerebov got REALLY lucky and pulled out a 150 damage crit as his very last attack before exhaustion.

That's why endurance should regenerate, so doing nothing will always result in defeat.
Perhaps then defending wouldn't just be a gimmic strategy to win by exhaustion but an actual strategy to controle the flow of battle and endurance levels.
Anything other then this rubbish where the crowd decides to kill you instead.

Let's hope this strategy works, the only way I can see to stop this silininess.
1. Standby Tank
2. Opponent is rage Parry-Slash
3. Odd Numbered Rounds Tank
4. Opponent is Moderately Tired Slash
5. Even Numbered Rounds Parry-Slash

Can you say, EXTRA VAULT SPACE!?

And in other news:

Decked out with a variety of new, shiny gear, Ingrid continues to blaze down a path of ruthless kickassery, while the all-powerful Reginald has managed to go off and get himself killed yet again, the poor bastard...

Velupes just keeps getting disarmed and she just goes "Psh" and proceeds to do about 200 damage with her fists. She's honestly a monster.

Ah yes....
Less Endurance then Opponent = Tank  (It'll still end up being a Tank v Tank staredown if my opponent is going full tank, so I guess I'll have to change it.

I personally don't like being over-reliant on the outlasting your enemy tactic... and ya know... the Crowd came to watch Gladiators fight, not stand around and stare at each other.  The Enforcer/Crowd interference is most appropriate...

Ripley is a really, really strong rage dunder who knocked me off the black market. He is 68-10-11. Watching him fight me... it felt good.

>> RIPLEY SWITCHES TO STRATEGY 1
>> ASHENZARI SWITCHES TO STRATEGY 1
ASHENZARI bounces around the arena in hopes of action.
ASHENZARI leaps forward, her KEEN FLAMBERGE careening downward.
Bloody slash to RIPLEY's side exposes several useful intestines!  (+508 Damage)

RIPLEY spins around and face plants following the strike!
R O U N D  2
RIPLEY picks herself up off the ground!
ASHENZARI skips hurriedly around RIPLEY.
ASHENZARI whirls around, lashing out with a vicious backhanded strike.
Deep cut into RIPLEY's arm opens the floodgates of blood!  (+433 Damage)

ASHENZARI howls as her finishing blow is intercepted by the Enforcer!
The fight lasted 20 seconds!

And before you ask, he's supposed to be named "Mr Squiggly", but there was a typo.

Aha! Cerebov bests Velupes! Take that, dogstile!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(You were bleeding for 50 damage a turn near the end there :P)

Cerebov tends to win against rage glads because he has solid, steady damage output on top of the ability to not get blown away by the first blow a 2h rage lands on him.

By the way, are you using Berserk or Bash? Seems like Bash, since you lost with more stamina left then I. You might want to try swapping over to berserk!
