So far my two new guys have been top of the First Bracket, gaining the title of New Kid each. But no matter what I do, I can't get them to the top of any others...

Seems like you cant get to the top of the brackets through winning all your fights. You just need to get lucky and have more people challenge you. So if your goal is to be top, dont use your tokens so often. You will rank up too fast.

I keep getting kicked to the next bracket before reaching the top. Best I did was have Miss Demeanor at the 3rd slot in the Gladiator bracket, but then she got promoted again.

Logic would have you think that being good enough to skip over to the next rank without even being in the top 3 of the previous rank would still get you the achievement. But this game doesn't run on logic. Only blood.

Ugh, terrible selection on new fighters today, and I'm not wasting hard-earned trophies on a new batch. Just gotta wait until tomorrow.

ETA: Aaaaaaaaand Arrakis is dead again. Screw it, I gave him plenty of chances to get back in the game but he just kept getting worse. Miss Demeanor is my only gladiator until I can get a replacement.

Well Toady One just got beat by some guy who just stood around and tanked the "powerful" attacks from the Enforcer while Toady One just tripped all over himself (goddamn 6 weapon skill, too) and eventually collapsed.

Game is broken in many places. Probably will never get the updates it needs, either. The Dev will just be content to sit and collect the money while complaints pile up.

Meh. Any suggestions on how I can get my Trugg or w/e to stop passing out due to exhaustion?

My fight strategies are down to 2 activity and 2 bloodlust, but i feel if it goes any lower he will be worthless..

Dont go trugg. They are the best race in the game later on... but the earlygame you will rarely ever win against anything but another trug.

I'd guess your best bet is 1 activity, 8-10 bloodlust. You need to attack just once or twice and deal enough damage to kill. This might not work, but that is what I would assume. Having 2/2 or 1/1 will just end with you both doing bad damage and rarely attacking. At least 1/10 will give you amazing damage potential.

That said, Truggs still fail early game

I don't see why so many people pick trugs.
Trugs have such a big endurance penalty I've actually had some collapse from exhaustion after 4 rounds of doing nothing.
Thats another problem: your gladiator losing a chunk of their energy every turn even when they don't do anything.

Apparently Toady One's occasional half-assed shield bashes (Stop goddamn shield bashing!!! you have a cutlass for a reason!) are a lot more tiring than the other guy doing rapid, powerful swings only to have them bounce off of Toady's armor.

Another level 4 with a purple weapon average 80 damage a round. This is hellishly annoying. I cant do shit when I'm totaled in two rounds because someone spent all their tutorial cash on a beast weapon.
