If I remember my history correctly, gladiators back in the Roman/Greek eras actually did tie somewhat frequently. If both sides fought well and neither could best the other, the battle was declared a draw and they'd both get to live. Deaths were not as frequent as popular media shows, because training a gladiator was very expensive and time-consuming. The popular ones actually had money and slaves of their own, because they were that profitable.

Not that this game is realistic or historically accurate :P

About to arrive in the Black Market top 10.
Against a theatrical snivler. Big surprise, there.
He gets several red hits, but its fine because Armok is about to knock his cheap ass into the dirt!

I'm not the only one to get a strong Warhammer vibe from this game, am I? The artwork, character designs in particular, scream "GRIMDARK" to me. It's like a bizarre mix of Fantasy and 40k, which I think contributes greatly to how much I'm liking this.

You can sometimes find fighting tokens on a tavern mission. But yeah, it's kinda slow unless you want to cough up your valuable trophies.

One official fight, per token or per trophy. And that limit is only if you have 1 token stockpiled, if you have several (or had some and pick one up in a tavern quest), you can keep on trucking for better or worse. Dieing is usually a good time to stop.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I am forever cursed to be terrible in black market fights

A little theatrical spite hit a 97 on Armok. Then a 107 right after that.

You can't have that amount of damage on something that fast. It's just not supposed to happen.

Well apparently I need my 2h skill up, because looking at the blow by blow details it shows that Armok was tripping all over himself and being a general dumbass whenever he had a chance to knock that little fucker down a notch.

Gah, Lionstar, how are you advancing so fast?!
My Rage Gladiator who I've had for 4 days is only level 8.
Hehe, level 7 after the first 12 hours here :P

I'm 11 and 1 with a theatrical Dunder. Dorf power.

A theatrical with a massive Initiative penalty? You're either very lucky or a trophy buyer.

A "fast" theatrical dunder dual wielding against a death-sick Armok on a bad day:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
For some reason he isn't hitting nearly as high as his predecessor, even though he has almost 20 more strength. I think its because i'm using a sword instead of a maul.
But my fancy zweihander has a higher damage average than the old Avatar's flail. What the hell is wrong, then?

Lucky, I suppose. Dont think I've even spent the trophies from the tutorial.

My guy just tends to skewer things on his spear. Nothing particularly theatrical about his method of winning :P

I sold liandra for a rage fighter named Kadjb (using this wonderful language here )

Brought her a cruel flamberge using cash, she's kicking arse with it. Another one who rose to the top of the fresh meat bracket.

A Power
R Life
M Compassion
O Evil, wicked, dark
K Creation and destruction

I guess Armok is bipolar.

Well Armok has 18 - 8 - 0 in the pit fights and is at #1. Inb4 some jackasses with trophy-pumped stats blow through with a perfect record.

EDIT: now 21 - 8 - 0 with one fight left. Maybe I will actually be in the top 3
