Brackets are really weird. Arrakis has been elevated to the Pit Fighter bracket despite not getting to the number 1 spot. In that bracket, he fought a Level 2 Human (Arrakis is a Level 7 Human) that won when Arrakis ran out of energy.

Sometimes you just pass the 1spot because they deem the Gladiator too skilled for that level...
