Anyone actually build a successful tank-based character?
My guy has a pretty meh k:d ratio using this strategy.

What level is your guy lionstar?

He's level 7.

I may have to make him more tanky, since dunder have a big Initiative penalty.
I think he will start kicking serious butt once I can set up a counter-attack strategy.
For now I have him set to be slow in the beginning, and go completely batshit once he's really hurt.

I'm just waiting until that stupid death penalty to go away so I can fight better. I can't really change my strategies around because I can't tell if they would be effective at full strength.

Poor Freddy. He has not won one match, but lost 6.

My character, Stabby McTiits, has won two, lost three. I didn't realize you could pick who to fight, so ended up fighting the number one guy for the first few times. Oops

Gah, 3 times has Kikiii been one more strike from winning and has run out of juice... THIS IS SO BS!!!

Seriously, the guy had 2hp left, and Kikiii falls to the ground exhausted, come on, just poke him and the guy is dead...

Seems like most battles are decided by who runs out of energy first. One guy totally dominates, but runs out of energy and loses.

Is there a way to give coins to others???
There is this Cutlass in the Blacksmiths that I would very much like to give Kikiii, but I am short by 200g

Unless you do enough damage that the ref steps in.

I think its more about inflicting really ugly injuries and scaring the other guy and not total hp. A few times a quick Theatrical inflicted dozens of "laughable" wounds only to have Armok critical hit him in the groin and then he begs the enforcer to save him when he still had 40-60 hp left

EDIT: ARMOK attentively paces to and fro.
ARMOK's CRACKED GIANT SMASHER crashes down on ZGITUS with unrelenting force.
Warlike strike to ZGITUS's mouth makes eating almost impossible for the soon to be starving fool!  (+79 Damage)
The Enforcer gives the thumbs up!

Theres a new one.

KIKIII picks SCAELDISH's lifeless body up and parades it around the arena for all to see!

Apparently the Enforcer didn't like Scaeldish much.

How do you activate skills? Do they just activate on their own or do you have to set them to use them?

Brackets are really weird. Arrakis has been elevated to the Pit Fighter bracket despite not getting to the number 1 spot. In that bracket, he fought a Level 2 Human (Arrakis is a Level 7 Human) that won when Arrakis ran out of energy.

Your fighter uses them on their own.

R O U N D  1
>> NOTFORALL SWITCHES TO STRATEGY 1
>> ARMOK SWITCHES TO STRATEGY 1
ARMOK's BEATEN WAR CHAIN carves a path of pain through the air.
NOTFORALL hits the ground hard after that last hit!
A gigantic wound is opened on NOTFORALL's tricep!  (+169 Damage)
R O U N D  2
ARMOK whips his BEATEN WAR CHAIN toward NOTFORALL
Slamming shot into NOTFORALL's knee causes a nasty sprain!  (+30 Damage)
ARMOK howls as his finishing blow is intercepted by the Enforcer!
The fight lasted 15 seconds!

Quickest fight ever?
