Pokemon Random Emerald
« on: May 18, 2012, 02:24:18 pm »

I've managed to find a program that randomly changes the starter pokemon and wild pokemon spawns to completely random other pokemon. Magikarp starter? It could happen. Level 2 rayquaza on route 1? It could happen. Since the opportunity is too good to pass up, I'm going to do a nuzlocke challenge in it.
Since its a vastly different game, these are the rules I'm going to use.

Right then, I've got the boring intro stuff done with, now lets see what we have here?

Er?

Wha?

Interesting.

So, what do we pick then.

Unfortunately no. I found one that did that but it's always the same in that one so that interested me slightly less.

Kadabra would probably be the sane choice.

Go with Wigglytuff.

Anyone else care to vote? I am fine with choosing wigglytuff, I'd just like a few more opinions just in case. In the event that we do choose wigglytuff, what will it's name be? Also, kadabra might not be sane depending on if it knows any attack moves. Oddly, I'd normally choose victreebell.

Well that went easily. Cute charm made the fight even easier than it should have been after doubleslap missed. And then it went down in one doubleslap combo.

Also, that wigglytuff is now named Sirus. ;p
We go and battle may.

That was almost too easy.

Haha this is great. If you get a water, grass, or flying mon, could you name it Robin? Will definitely be watching for progress!

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Something about this game makes me wonder why God lets it exist.
Say, if you give birth on a ranch and then murder your baby will a corpse drop be guaranteed?

In case anyone was curious, the other pokemon on the first route are banettes and krabbys.
And boy are those espeons worth a lot of xp. Grindings gonna be pretty easy, at least in this area.

This will probably be necessary what with all the rare pokemon wandering around. Plus, we get a free premier ball. :D
Also, damn.

Last I remember volbeats pretty useless. But hey, if we don't catch it we lose a pokemon from here forever, so why not.
It only took 1 pokeball too. Name?

Decided to fall back on a random noun generator. It's name is Accordion.
And what else was on that route? Crawdaunts and Sandshrews.
Also, Accordion learned confuse ray. Nope not useless at all. First trainer lost to confuse ray spam, as did the second. And now for our catch.

YES. It also took 5 poke balls. Wigglytuff is so usefull I can't even describe. Sleep is op.
Seeing as it's part flying.... Bluerobin you're an Altaria. Enjoy. And the other pokemon? Politoed and Slaking.

Next route....

DO WANT.
Caught it in one pokeball. o_o
Name?
