Weird smiled serenely, and terrifyingly. It was a side to his nature he usually kept under strict lock and key. His truely evil, diabolical, and bad side.
"The casing might survive. But I doubt you would." He said in almost sing-song matter-of-factness.
"Weird...." hugo interjected almost sweetly in a high pitched and strained tone. "Calm down... you're scaring me..."
Weird smiled broadly, and laughed manically.
"Foundation of this world you say?" He cooed. "Ever been to the 'other side'?" A dangerous mirth glittered in his eyes as he blithely strolled across the room in a near dance. In one fluid flourish he swooped up the hot orb, and flash froze it with his left hand, scooped up a centuries old graphite pencil from the ops console table in his right, and returned to his previous point near the stairs.
"Pay attention, dreidle top. I'll give you a free lesson about mortality."
The twisted, horrible laughter didn't stop... The great sparrow watched with twisted interest, while the others gawked in horror.
Weird drew two small circles filled with intricate lines and symbols on the floor, held the dalekanium orb aloft with a shit eating grin, placed it in the first circle, licked his gloved finger, and lit the circle with as much force as he could jam into it.
A horrible dischordant peal, like the sound of a windchime being struck with a baseball bat clashed in the air, followed by a horrible explosion less than half a second later erupting from the second, revealing charred, molten, and splintered parts of the original orb. Most of it was missing.
"If you're interested in a little sightseeing trip of the afterlife, just let me know..."
[Fun fact! Wierd's "unstable transport" spell ricochets the physical object off death's door. That's how it works. The rules of physical matter don't apply on the other side.]
