Corai began his walk towards Weird's room, without his signature smirk. If he didnt have his suit or blue eyes you wouldnt be able to tell if it was even Corai. Entering Weird's room, he took a seat in a nearby chair and said "I await until I am needed." and just began tapping his foot.

The blind eternities, which is utilized by portal transportation and planeswalkers, is akin to an extension of space, but allows only certain entities to enter and survive there.  There is actually time passing while you are within it.  Speed does have meaning due to the presence of time, and all planes are of different size.  Those are proven to be true in the fact that you cannot cross the multiverse within seconds, but you have to basically "stop off" at different planes to restore your energy to prevent yourself from death.

Instead of writing up the summaries of the battles myself, I will roll a dice, and the first person that claims it, gets to write it.  (Note:You can only use me in 1 or 2, and I must survive.  End of the war thing.  I also need the Slashdiver at the end, so you cannot destroy it, or have Phyrexia capture it.  You can, however, have it in conflict with another ship that cannot planeswalk.)
1-Dragons completely victorious
2-Dragons partially victorious
3-Nuetral (ex.1000 die on one side, but other loses the field of battle.)
4-Phyrexians partially victorious
5-Phyrexians completely victorious
6-Everyone on both sides have died (don't have more than 200 on either side)

Roll: 6 (wow)

I could, given enough time, build another temporal engine to generate a time-lock around the universe, which by nature is basically impenetrable. Would help greatly to retrieve the temporal minecart, however. Plus, like MrHappyFace's cybernetics, it might be a sore issue with the other forumites.

As for the afterlife and whatnot, any given universe might have several dimensions, like say an afterlife or netherworld or whatever. Any given multiverse might have different laws affecting travel between it's constituent universes and what, if anything, is in the space between. Magic the Gathering and Dwarf Fortress are different multiverses, so travel between a universe from one to a universe from the other is even more difficult than travel within a single multiverse. Somehow, though, Zanz established a link between this particular world and one of the MTG planes, so travel between the two is possible using MTG rules. I'd imagine, though, that to reach other Planes, one would first have to enter Zanz's plane before travelling to another using MTG methods. Conversely, one would have to enter the DF multiverse by reaching our universe in order to travel between DF worlds, and they would need to use entirely separate methods.

I would say that the DF multiverse is artificial, and can only be entered through our (earth's) plane, and the dragon plane, which is a DF multiverse plane with backwash from the main multiverse allowing the plane to form a connection between the two multiverses.  Those two planes would be a distance apart, causing the multiverses not to be perfectly half-a-sphere as well as not being two spheres touching at only one area.  The DF multiverse is probably not that large, if each plane is a save-breaking version update, and inside of those planes are different worlds that were generated.  Only certain planets in those planes were in the correct places to connect to this plane.

Multiverses and, usually (at least in the understanding of the one our earth is in) universes, don't really have a size or shape. This discussion is again getting into the meta, which can break a story, but my theory is that the DF multiverse consists of all DF worlds that are, have been, ever will be, could have been, or might potentially be. So in a sense, it is infinite. This is just using the model I use to describe Reality (useful in fiction where this kind of stuff happens), where a multiverse is defined as a set of universes similar laws, common inter-universe space/rules, and/or a common origin (branches of the same diverging timeline).

This is all fairly mind-boggling, though, and it's time to get back to the story.

Agreed, but unless you post a battle summary or head into my character's former bay 12 room with wierd, I don't think there is anything that can be done.

So, the in-forum Corai is going to be a planeswalking assassin.  Wonderful.

I find it odd that when I mention that work has picked up, and will be more scarce... the thread suffers extreme atrophy!

Oh well.

-------------

Peepers had grown hungry again, and had demanded more turtle roast, in an adorable flurry of peeping and impotent flapping of fuzzy wings.

The last of the bread was toasting delightfully in the oven. Weird had offered hugo a fresh dinner roll with butter and cheese, but had politely refused after a moment of silent introspection. The reason for the prior inability to hold down lunch came up discretely, and hugo's need for an all meat product diet came to light as tactfully as possible.

At least he knew not to offer hugo anything made with mushrooms.

Given that peepers had gotten hungry twice in the time hugo had eaten and lost his lunch, it was clear that his scaly conspirator really did need to eat.

"You could always........try.... the ... uhm.. "turtle roast."he offered tactfully. "Peepers seems to like it."

"Peepers would eat anything you gave him." Gruffed hugo, as his stomach growled angrily.

"What about a meat heavy omlette?" Weird asked.  If the threat of looming invasion was past for the moment, his time monopolizing the kitchen was numbered. The actual fortress cooking detail would quickly set back to work making "tallow roasts" and worse.  If hugo was gonna get something edible, it would have to be now.

"Its worth a shot. But no mushrooms. Ghandi... no mushrooms."

"You got it!"

The fortress stockpiles had plenty of eggs, but they were all small ones. He wondered when a real elf caravan would show up with ostritches they could "impound". Cracking 4 dozen chicken and duck eggs in a huge bowl, and whipping them up with diced ham and bacon was a chore. If he had to eat as much as peepers, he would end up with popeye arms from using a fork like a whisk. At least there would be a ready use for all the baby sheep and alpacas that were sure to start showing up once the place was actually functioning properly.

He had to wash the oversized saucepan to get the mushroom and noodle residue out before he could use it. The fortress didn't have the resources to risk hugo blowing chunks all the time. Despite the setback, in moments the pan was alive with a small glob of pork lard, and a nice, large omlette sizzling and bubbling over the now mostly burned out coals. He poked them with the fireplace poker, and raked them to get fresh heat out of them.

"After this, I'm going to bed, ok?" Asked weird. He hadn't slept properly in days. If the fortress *wasnt* going to go up in flames like bay bold did, at least he could get some sleep.

An hour later, HugoLuman made his way back up to the hospital to curl up on the cloth stockpile. It was the only place he had to sleep for now, having neither a bedroom to himself or a bed suitable for him. The creep factor of sleeping in the domain of the one who probably took samples from him was overcome by the extreme tiredness. After all, he hadn't slept for about 36 or so hours and had hardly eaten anything, not to mention this weird new metabolism.  He found the door still locked, though, and rapped on it. "Hey, Gizogin? You in there? I need to come in."

Back at the Kobold camp that was set-up to house the Bay Bold refugees, Freeble was successively running it. If by being a giantass bandit-camp was "successful". Freeble was never the smartest kobold, but he was Corai's bodyguard for quite some time, so he knew how to kill things. The area surrounding the camp had been home to several small villages of elves and humans. None of them strong enough to stand up to a koboldling rush. Freeble gnawed on a human tallow roast as he remembered Corai. He would attempt to reattain control of the kobolds, that he kept alive.

"Frigulish! Regeth!" Freeble said, two copper-clad kobolds came into the wooden shack. "Find Corai, capture Corai. No kill, he no die good."

"No kill." They said, walking out. Freeble smiled, kicking back on the copper chair and table he was at.

"Can Freeble get off daughter's food?" a kobold said, holding a small pup.

"Freeble sorry. Dawwbaby."

---

Corai, before leaving, informed Hugoluman he was heading to the kobold camp. A two day journey, he was bound to encounter bogeymen, so he brought along a little kobold pup that stayed at the fort.

Oliolli wandered trough the fort's gates, quite drowsy by then. Still wondering about his four remaining limbs, he staggered to the hospital, only to find the door locked and Hugo leaning onto it, apparently asleep. Sitting down on the opposite side of the hall, he quickly fell asleep.

I'm just going to go through the war in this way instead: roll the dice and record who won.
Dragons-23
Phyrexians-17
Neutral-10
None-3

I will do this once a day.
