Corai poked his head out of the door, it was quiet.

"Okay... I am gonna try to get out of this hell-hole. See ya Splint, stay alive." he said, squeezing thru the door.

Don't forget me and Hugo are forumites and are outside!

Don't worry, I didn't actually forget you were there. I just forgot you're both too big to squeeze through the crack in the walls to get inside...

Not liking the idea that you suddenly took down FIVE of the damn things in an instant when it takes our legendary+5 warriors with equivalent gear available up to a minute, while tag-teaming them, to take down even one. Way to insult us all. Sure Vemini and Ironblood will want to have a word with you.

Do note: They also have ungodly-amzing reflexes and combat skills. Legendary dodging and shield-using (with their forarms of course!)

Also, covered in steel plates that can deflect small arms fire. Realizing that it would be hopeless to try and penetrate the fort with the amount they have left, though, they have surrendered.

And the reasons Oliolli could slice one up were that A) he had a masterwork adamantine sword, B) was extremely annoyed and C) also has some insane skills.

Just realized that for now, only Eric, Zanzetkuken, Oliolli, and I know that the perpetrator was Clockwork me.

[Perhaps I should mention that to the others when I head in to rest at the hospital.]
--------------------

After successfully conviincing the dwarf to run along with the message, Eric ran to the hospital to see about treating the massive hole in his left shoulder before it got infected. The muscle felt torn badly, but it didn't seem like he'd broken the bone or severed a nerve, because he could still move it and the pain was mostly superficial. After the adrenaline wore off, he'd probably be bitching about it for a few days. The hallway to the hospital was every bit as much of a mess as the clearing outside. Joykill and Roead were standing around chatting about whatever, while Gizogin and his automations tended to the sick. Eric plopped down on a bed and stayed there.

Before he lost consciousness he gave the others one message, "Hey, guys, Clockwork Hugo is back. He's responsible for this mess. No idea where Happyface is, still. There's a bunch of cyborgs outside, still." With that, he finally got some sleep.

Wait, how exactly did Oliolli know it was CW Hugo? He did encounter a cyberdwarf, but nothing implied that CW Hugo was involved. And for now nobody expects the spanish inquisition knows that Oliolli was involved. So I think it was news for Oliolli as well, that CW Hugo was behind all of this.

By the way...

Clockwork hugo opened his eyes, and took his hands off the comatose Original body of HugoLuman. A pity. That avatar had taken a lot of time and effort to design, embodying both the concepts of clockwork and HugoLuman. Still, it had been a fun excursion. The memory of it would somewhat relieve the eternal monotony of this place.

That's the same body that Oliolli hid under a large pile of paper at the old fort? How did CWHL get it?

[Clockwork and the entire damn fortress was sent to the cat-dimension in a massive thermonuclear catsplosion that displaced an equal volume of pure cats. If hugo's body survived the transportation, then it should theoretically still be in the chunk of mountain floating around in that dimension.]

[edit for EVERYTHING]

[It's been an indeterminably long time in the pocket dimension where he was exiled to, probably several years, but in that time he's turned the floating chunk of mountain into a a clockwork citadel made of metal created by fusing the atoms of the cats into heavier elements. He's had time to search, and a lot of power from absorbing various eldricht abominations.]

[I just thought that Oliolli might know it was him because he was there when I exclaimed that it must be CW after seeing the cybercorpse.]

Corai walked through the fort, amazed at the quietness. "Where is everyone?" he asked himself, walking up the stairs to the surface. Maybe the depot had some shinies he could take before he left.

"Zannie! Long time no see, last time I saw you I massacred some of your security guards before a goblin pincushioned me!"

"You see those captives over there?  They surrendered after I killed five of their kind within one second of each other, so you better not call me that again or you can look forward to respawning.  Comprende?  Oh, and I am no longer in charge of the citadel, so those weren't my guards, so I really don't care.
