I would be novice at best. Fencing with my brother with sticks doesn't really count as practice. I'm currently daring the bastard to follow me up on dangerous catwalks in a nightmarish factroy gambit. And praying he doesn't come equipped with a crossbow bolted to his arm like a dwemer sphere...

How are you with other weapons?

Progressively worse, although I suppose that with my general lack of combat experience all weaponry is equal. I've used polearms whle sparring as well, but infrequently. Considering I'm a legendary miner, a mining pickaxe/war pick would be my best options, with war hammer being next up in terms of similarity, followed by battleaxe. I intend to toss rock blocks, though, and that should provide enough blunt force trauma to disable him. :P

Chemicals might not work so well, as the plating is stainless steel with some insulating layers of synthetic material. Innards of torso and head are in the respective parts of the armor, but the rest of the body is mechanical. All are outwardly completely identical, with the basic proportions of a 6 ft human and great strength.

Hugoli had 10 cyber dwarves completed now, and in about an hour he would have 30. He could only build 5 converters with the materials available, but had enough material in the room for 3 or 4 more waves of converts. Once the fortress was secured, he would have enough for the whole population. Then the real work could begin.

The cyborg watched Eric run. "Hostile actions will not be tolerated. Return or be destroyed." Since Eric kept running, it went to retrieve his pickaxe. Quickly tossed, the pickaxe managed to nick Eric in the shoulder just before he turned the corner, drawing blood and clattering to the floor behind him.

Corai saw the steel monster lurch towards him. Then he saw Super Plump Helmet Man (still missing a hand and a foot from his last battle) jump in the way, recieving a nasty electrostatic shock from the hand of the creature. Vemini punched the creature in the gut, making a noticable dent in the steel plating, but not seeming to wound it at all.

The kobold rolled away from the stumbling cyborg, scooping up his dagger again.

wierd's mana affinites just so happen to be blue, green, and black. (Green and black seem equally matched, based on the personaity test. Depending on how I answered the loaded questions, I either scored blue/green, or blue/back.)

Of course, if given a deck, he would refuse all creature cards and carry only place, effect, and spell cards. Dominion over a creature with its own mind, vs pushing part of his will into an empty vessel with no mind is a no brainer for him. Necromancy is the latter.

Of course, he's more apt to use a supersoaker loaded with red fuming nitric acid to cause deadly corrosive red mist in the hallways than play children's cardgames with killer cyborgs. :D

You should see it on the official site.  It is a one mana color test that is even more loaded than the one you took.

With the creatures, it is not domination over the mind, it is more domestication.  My mind does not dominate them, they are just loyal to your commands.

Cards are simplest name I could give the concept, due to the 'cards' being a mental construct that energy is used upon to create the desired effect.  While outside of the body they are actual cards, planeswalkers absorb them to use the actual power of the construct.

In real life, I should probably mention that I've had enough sword lessons for a certificate, making me probably either a Competent or Proficient swordsman. I went to the archery range frequently for about 3 years as well, likely making me a Competent (rusty) archer. Not that I can use those skills in my current form, though. No real combat experience either.

Tip for all swordsmen; Slashing may be flashy, but stabbing is by far the best thing to do.

Did you forget the scene where you yourself is at?

I just noticed that your profile picture, if it is of a dragon, matches your current form in this thead.

Corai quickly ran to SPHM's side, stabbing the leg of the soldier, the bluemetal tip cutting the steel, but got stuck in some form of second layer. He pulled it out with ease due to the adamanite, and jabbed again, same affects.

"The hell?" He said, rolling out of the way of a punch.

[Waiting for Oliolli for that one, ZTG]

Athel was suddenly and completely halted, caught by one of the Cyborgs in the door. He was thrown to the ground. "Remain calm. You are warned: hostility will be met with extreme force."

[2nd layer isn't THAT tough, Corai. Few things are when faced with adamantine. It's probably kevlar or some other tough fiber.]

May have to wait some time for Oliolli, unfortunately. Haven't quite figured out his schedule yet.

Corai was on the ground after rolling, the cyberdwarf reaching to electrocute him again. Before it could, though, Ironblood grabbed it's arm (safely above the deadly hand.) Before it could get him with it's other hand, Vemini grabbed that arm.

Which fomulation of stainless steel?

Unless it has chromium in the formula (which would make it hard and brittle, btw), nitric acid will eat it like candy.  Most stainless is made from a mixture of iron, carbon, copper, silicon nickel and vanadium. Some contain exotic metals, like titanium, magnesium, tungsten, chromium, etc... depending on how that steel will be used.  Given the materials available, I doubt that Mr Happyface will be creating exotic steels without wierd's help in isolating highly reactive transition metals that are rare, like vanadium, chromium and pals.

The major components being iron and copper in the more comon structural stainless steels.

Nitric acid aboslutely fucking *LOVES* copper, (check youtube!) And iron falls pretty hard too.  With most of the alloy structure being attacked, the cyber dwarf armor will turn into corroded black slush in seconds.

Let's put it this way.... you can't even store concentrated nitric acid in plstic. It *MUST* be stored in glass or ceramic. Its just that hungry of an acid. Its one of the 3 indespensible strong lab acids. That's why he was brewing it up. :D

ZTG: weird is an enigmatic character in many respcts. A total hardass in some ways, and a total softie in others.  He doesn't like putting other living things in harms way, but has not such reservations about the unliving, or about parts of himself. If he were to practice summoning of any form, it would be a dangerous and self-destructive form of conjuration that summons parts of the caster's own mind, and wraps it up in enough meta-essense to give it form. Being an extension of his own will, he would have no problem summoning it or putting it into battle. A totally unique living thing? Never. Abhorrent.

If it helps: imagine captain planet.  Ok, now reverse what the rings do. captain planet breaks apart to make the planeteers. Not the other way around.  Weird would create and foster a kind of limited MPD to create his summonings, and they would be completely unique to him.  If such a school of magic didn't exist, he would create it out of disgust.

As such, his "ultimate" summoning would be fatal. That's the kind of personality he has.

Carp.  I hope he gets online soon.  My dog was put down today and I want to kill all the cyborgs.

[I also dislike the idea of playing a children's card game to battle horrendous monsters. It's not appropriate for DF at all. It's not going to stand up to the test of muscle and luck that is dwarven warfare, and the beasts one summons would undoubtedly be weak compared to anything of equivalent size and armament that occur naturally. Like summoning daedra in TES games; Hardly worth it becuase they bugger out too quickly or get gangraped by puppies. Just learn destruction magic instead and summon ‼enemies‼ or learn marksmanship and summon XxenemiesxX at a distance.]
--------------------

Eric looked back just in time to flinch as a pickaxe came flying across the yard, causing the axe to graze his left shoulder rather than smash his skull. That was something he had always been good at; if you can't block or outright dodge a blow, take it and adjust accordingly to avoid damage as best possible. The pickaxe dug into his muscle, the pain excruciating for someone only used to having to accept blunt blows from rocks and fists. The pick clattered to the ground, and he took it up. If the thing thought this was a legitimate attempt to kill him or it wanted a fair fight, he couldn't say. He definitely wasn't going to play fiar, though, in a world where anything goes.

The beast had killed one of the zombie kobolds recently, the corpse lying in the grass in it's path. Eric raised it with his necromantic powers as the beast passed by, before it could react, and ordered the kobold to swipe up into the groin where the right leg met the hips. The copper dagger became lodged, the abomination stumbled as it both lost motor function, and faceplanted. The kobold then leapt onto it's "face," shoving it's claws into what appeared to be eyes. The abomination was blinded, and struggled with the unnaturally strong corpse for long enough that Eric charged across the field and swung his pick into it's right shoulder, where it became lodged firmly.

An aluminum coating would become resistant to nitric acid once it reacted with it, but I doubt the technology to apply one was handy.

Regaining it's leverage, the cyborg gripped to kobold-zombie's head and crushed it like an egg. Motor functions were lost in the right leg and shoulder, and the ocular sensors were unfocused. Eric was about to bury the pick in the steel head, but suddenly he was grabbed from behind. Damn, there were 2 more of them at the door!

With the machine-man held down on his knees, Corai raised his dagger and began to rapidly stab it in the head. After the first few stabs, blood began oozing out of the cuts in the metal, and then with the next one the whole creature shuddered and went limp.
