The figure was tall, about 6 feet, and seemed to be wearing a full suit of iron armor. Instead of a visor, there was a large plate of black glass in the front of the helm, too opaque to see through from the outside. It was chained firmly to a large, thick slab of oak trunk. "Who is it who has slain my enemy?" it demanded in a deep voice that echoed metallicly within the helm. "I must know! In return, I am sure you have many questions yourselves."

Weird, HugoLuman, and SPHM stood for a few moments, thinking.

So, Mr. ... actually, I don't know your name.  Not that it really matters- Jerry, you say?  Well, it's nice to see you're speaking, Mr. Jerry.  I was worried that, with the amount of time you were unconscious, you might have suffered a very slight case of serious brain damage.  You're conscious now, though, so if you could just allow me to perform a few tests to see what mental faculties you still have, you'll be on your way to recovery in no time.
Oh, that?  That's just Oliolli; he came in at the same time you did.  No, no, his head is supposed to look like that.  I can assure you that both of you have been receiving the best treatment I can- please calm down, sir.  That "hideous affront to all things natural and wholesome," as you so eloquently put it, is just one of my many mechanical marvels; I built them to help me in my duties.  So, if you would please stop cursing it as a demon and a sacrilege, we can get to those tests.

Or in this case, an axe-handed elf who takes glee in cutting down trees. Also, not quite the sharpest blade in the drawer it would seem, but not the dullest, either.

Well, I've basically figured out the movie.

Anyway, I am retaking control of myself.  Currently in my lab.  Drawbridges retracted.

Zanzetkuken wracked his brain over the problem currently puzzling him.  Which was, how to copy a planeswalker spark into another being.  He remembered the tales he heard of Memnarch.  How it tried to use a planet to transfer a spark of a planeswalker.  How the phyrexian oil made him go insane.  Zanzetkuken brought no oil from the place, but he was going to be careful in this pursuit.  First, he must build the machine.  He started working...

Funny thing, the dragon's name, Maectur, means Blockade in the dragon language.  And he is acting as a guard for the fort.

Oh, and from now on, I would like you all to use his name.  He can speak to you, due to the [INTELLIGENT] tag.

Oh yeah, he speaks telepathically, so he has heard what you are thinking.  :D

Reudh can hear the fighting from his room. He won't come outside unless there's an official order--- but then he realises he'd better make some armour for himself.

"Corai! Splint! Weird! Anyone? Is there any spare boulders of any stone around here?" he shouts.

"Really everyone? Im ashamed! I expected so many more pages while I was horribly sick!" everyone hears in there heads.

---

Kofthefens, what ARE those centipedes? Real, hallucinations, or what?

The goblins stopped for a moment, wondering were the huge jet of flames came from, and then a huge dragon head appeared around the corner. This, followed by an orange light, was the last thing they saw.

14 down, 16 to go.

Real.

"IF YOU WANT BOULDERS, HELP US. WE CANT GET OUT OF OUR CAVE ANYMORE! WE BLOCKED IT WITH BOULDERS!" corai screamed.

Kofthefens drifts out above the line-dancing centipedes, following their tracks north. After a couple dozen miles, he sees a massive rift in the ground crawling with completely normal centipedes. He glides in for a closer look.

The stench of a nest of voracious cave crawlers drifts out of the chasm from deep underground. Plugging his ghostly nose, he swoops down deep into the cave network.

Miles underground now, he can see a colorful glow from up ahead, different than his own ghostly aura. Eggs. Thousands of them. Many giant swirling physcadelic ones, balanced atop mounds of ones all the colors of the rainbow. Slipping in between the cracks were tiny black and white ones, like grains of sand.

Kofthefens, what ARE those centipedes? Real, hallucinations, or what?

They are real, in most senses. For example, they can and will bite you. If bitten by the multi-colored one, you'll turn into a single colored one. If bitten by a single-colored, then you'll turn into a monochromatic one. If bitten by a mono-chromatic one, you'll just writhe around in pain for a few hours until you die. You really don't want to see the multi-dimensional being that spawned the multi-colored one.

Corai and kobolds sat in there small, blocked den. Playing marbles and other games.

"...You got a four?"

"Go elf."

"I roll a nine, your dwarf is bisected and dead!"

"I have a necromancer, hes gonna be back in three turns anyway."

"........"

"........Just make your move."

---

"I didnt even know we had these, did we steal them?" Corai asked a random kobold.

"No, we made them. From stuff we stole....."

Kofthefens passes through the shell into one of the largest eggs, nearly 50 feet in diameter. Inside is a hideous sparkling goo and a half formed centipede. He has seen enough. Kofthefens passes straight through the ceiling and heads back towards the fort to warn the others.

Well Mr. Jerry, your mind seems to be functioning within normal parameters.  Of course, you did just undergo major reconstructive surgery, so we'll need to hold you here for a few weeks while you recover and rebuild your muscles and whatnot.

VIII, what's the status of Oliolli?  (Not you Jerry, you're fine, just get your rest.)  Oh dear.  He really should have woken up by now.  Did you try- oh.  I see.  Well, all we can really do is keep him hydrated and fed, and hope that he wakes up.  At least his other vitals are stable.  There's not much for me to do here now.  VII and VIII, watch over the patients.  I'll see if I can't get some more work done on the Mk. IX.

Oliolli woke up in Gizogin's hospital.
Ow, my head...
Worst headache we've had since... since...
Since that one time with that one thing, you know, the one?
You mean the zombie buzzardbear?
Yeah, that one. Ow.
Ow. The goblins. How many did you get?
Several, I think. Then the dancing started.
Getting to his feet, Oliolli looked around. His weapons were nearby, and Gizogin was working on a mechanical body. Noticing the blood near the examination area and a whimpering elf in another bed, Oliolli felt it would be safest to simply flee from the hospital.
So... Plan B now?
Does it involve walking into a lair of baddies, loudly announcing ourselves and not fighting them?
Umm... Well... Nevermind, do you have any ideas?
Kinda. Just let me lead the way.
Oliolli started heading for the microcline tower again.

High over the fortress, Kofthefens views the centipede army still dancing, hears the pounding of millions of feet. He flies through the walls to the others trapped within.

"OKAY, NOW!"

Kobolds charged at the boulders, pushing them a few inches away.

"AGAIN!"

"AGAIN!"

"This is never gonna work..." Corai said as his kobolds fell asleep after ramming the boulders several times.
