*Tath Zagith and Indilwen go around the site looking for places that need to be fortified*
This time lets make sure we are ready for sieges and have the weak points fortified with walls and arrow-slits to improve survivability.

The twelve kobolds are busy playing with the wafer.

"GET TO WORK, HELP THAT ELFBOLD FREAK MAKE WALLS!" Corai yells to them, they drop the wafer and instantly begin hauling one, single granite boulder to the area with walls being built.

"Now...how many times until it breaks......" Corai said, hitting a granite wall.

Small 2x24 side hall way across from the dining room, and nine 2x3 bedrooms completed.  kobolds have the 2x7 room.  Starting small side building made from stone around the entrance, with bridge at the top of the ramp, to the underground.  Pick out your rooms!

Corai, being more dwarf then kobold quickly, puts a small iron lock on one of the bedroom doors and inputs a key, locking it.

"Okay.....back to smashing that wall-OH A WAFER!" he saids, quickly loosing his mind and playing with the wafer like a cat to yarn.

I pick a supply closet, throw my spare stuff in it, and go back outside.
A few hours later, I finish the second story of the cabin and I drink some nuka cola, freshly brewed from the local cola plants. The kobolds bring back a barrel of it for themselves.

I haven't dug out the workshops, and, to my knowledge, none have been built, so there are no doors, yet.

I haven't dug out a supply closet yet, only nine 2x3 rooms, and a dining hall, along with the 2x7 kobold room.

Outside auxiliary casing for the building is complete.  Working on workshops.  First digging out a ramp at the end of the main passageway, to place them on a different level.  I am building ramps, so I can save space.  Making a staircase dragon-sized would cause it to be huge!

Mixing some river water, some refined soda lye, and a little of the rocknut oil from the reagent vials in his pack, (while in the quiet seclusion of a well forested area with lots of bushes near the river) weird joykill produces a single glob of somewhat harsh, but servicable soap in the reaction vessel, and commences to clean all the....excitement....from his recent ordeal from himself, and what for the moment, is the closest thing to clothes he has.

The other survivors would probably take exception to his wanding around naked afterall, and they were nowhere near ready for having a clothier up and running.

Scrubbing hard, and succeeding (for the most part... some things just never completely wash out...) at getting himself and his hazard suit clean, he takes the opportunity to look around the wooded copse he comandeered for this 'oh so necessary' hygeine regimen:

Near the river's edge, several ropereeds and 2 or 3 fisherberry bushes dot the shore.

Further in, amongst the trees, a nicely mixed cluster of strawberry and prickleberry bushes could be seen.  Unfortunately, only a single whipvine lounged lazily in the clearing.

While it would give the fortress access to a limited number of seeds, it wouldn't be enough to live on for long.  He hoped he didn't get confused with a farmer dwarf (given the recent turn of events) for picking these, and hauling them back to the newly pitched base-camp. Herbalism and agriculture are *NOT* the same thing, and if the other fortress survivors tried to put him in charge of agriculture, they would probably all starve to death; one thing he did not inherit was his mother's green thumb.

It would take awhile for the black rubber and glass fiber cloth of the suit to dry out, so he everted it and layed it out in the sun.  Perhaps the sunlight could do what the soap was not entirely successful at.  He would have to make or secure some normal clothes. There was no way he could do regular work in that getup. Those ropereeds would come in handy for that.... but that would a while from now.

He had earned a little relaxation, at least for the moment.  Besides, wearing the suit before it was dry would just make him slosh and squish everywhere he went, since it was airtight. Seeing little else he could do, besides waltz up there in his birthday suit, he layed back, and let the current wash over him.

With Eric Blank's help, Zanzetkuken and the dragon finished digging out a 3x20 corridor.  The fort now has spaces for 5 workshops/labs!  On the other side of the hall is a 3x16 main hospital room, and a 3x3 office for Gizogen(spelling right?)

Start building a mechanic's, a carpender's, and a mason's workshop, and whatever else you want.

Seeing the digging was finished, Corai went right up to Zanzetuken.

"I want a depot, I am the best broker you have and you seen what I can do with metal-scraps. I got us several thousand dollars of food and booze in the last fortress." he said, he really wanted a depot.....
