Hmph. People are reading the fort.  >:(
That's alright. I needed to test the DART-3 Pacification Chip anyway. Oh look!
There's a generic wave of useless cheesemakers, spinners, small animal dissectors, and pressers!
Did someone say Dwarven Augmentation? I'm sure they'll ask for this!

Don't you mean leaving not reading?

I'll draw a map of the surrounding area in paint. Beware it's terrible skills!

Also, page 50!

My kobold-camp/Copper mining area is to the west of the fort, then south.

Now, who needs copper? Copper socks, anyone?

Copper socks sound rather uncomfortable. And sweat-conductive. Splint no like sweat.

With the quarantine still in effect, I've actually had quite a bit of down time.  Jerry is recovering quickly, and should be up and about in no time.  The G-Body Mk. IX is done, and it's taken over my medical duties while I work on the Mk. X.  Right now, it's scouring the fortress with the VII and VIII to eliminate all traces of the virus, though I have instructed it to attempt to secure a sample for testing.  The quarantine should be down in less than a day at this rate, though I want to be absolutely sure it won't resurface.

I've noticed a few conspicuous absences in the fortress's residents recently.  Seems they got it into their heads to flee this place, though I can't imagine why.

Mrhappyface rubbed his hands in anticipation. First pacification chips, and now reflex boosting surgeries? And people say that augmentation is unnatural! Although he didn't like doing the dirty work. There didn't seem to be much anesthetic in the fort, although there were plenty of disinfectants. Now if only that Gizogin could preform some of those surgeries on those useless migrants.

Deep in the earth, Roead awoke in his tomb. Cursing the darkness, he wished he had been buried with a match. Then he thought striking one would probably light him like a torch now, so he thought no more about it. Roead fumbled along the wall, feeling for the hollow spot. It had felt like someone had been digging down here, so that woke him up. After a few minutes of knocking, he finally found the point. With one hard punch he smashed a hole through the thin wall of rock. "Bloody poor masons," he grumbled.
Dim light from the fortress hallway streamed in, but to him it was plenty bright, having been in absolute darkness a moment ago. He looked at his hand. It was brown-yellow, and extremely shriveled. "Gugh. Not too eager to see what my face looks like."

Looking back into the tomb, he saw his burial presents. A small, crude clay pot and 3 rabbit skeletons. "Well, what was I bloody expecting. Honestly, though, one'd think ANYONE could do better than this." With a half-hearted, resigned gesture he animated these pets. Right, lets go see who the bloody hell caused all this racket. Man can't bloody well sleep, can he?

Kofthefens heard footsteps. His heart skipped a beat when a mummy clad in shoddy clothes came around the corner. "Anyone tell me what year it is? Be quick about it damnit! I am very cranky."

Anesthetics?  This is Dwarf Fortress, where alcohol runs more freely than water!  I'm... not entirely sure where I was going with that.

I suppose I could perform radical augmentation surgery on the "useless migrants," but I'll need the full cooperation of all parties involved.  Except the migrants, of course; that's what super-strong automata are for!

Whaddaya know? I did manage to get postin'. I'll be gone in a moment, though, so I'll just mention that the maps will also need a goblin tower nearby (in addition to the necromancer's tower). You know, the one Oliolli visited. Anyway, back to you, Hugo.
