Oliolli stumbled towards the fortress. He could see several dwarves and forumites working on fortifications. Oliolli walked right on in, looking for Gizogin. Maybe he could get Oliolli an artificial leg.

templar exclaimed over the unnatural indoor wind, "I think he's going poltergeist!"

Indilwen saw her exhausted husband, and turned around to run and embrace him. She could scarcely believe he was alive.

HugoLuman heaved, seeming to take deep breaths. His aura faded back to blue, and the wind died down. All the kobolds were pinned to the wall, but unharmed. "We should let them decide their own fates."

"Look, these elves and former elves don't have any recollection as to their past lives. Some of them are unaltered, and might return to home, or find new homes. But the ones who have been altered, they could begin a new life. Some of them might not be able to accept what's happened to them, and if the really can't, then I guess they can commit suicide."

"What about the others, the ones they were using as food. Most are maimed, many will die of their wounds."

"Dear gods, we must cut them down! If any are alive, we can rescue them. Those that are dead we can bury in a respectful way. Maybe that healing potion can treat the injured."

Dakost snapped out of her hallucination. She found herself tied to a wall, along with many others. Looking down, her memory returned...

She had been traveling, looking for water but also for the cave of that troglodyte, when she saw the tower. Figuring to loot it, she had charged in, axe waving...

When she came in she found only elves. Elves, eating, drinking, laughing, smoking their herbs. This greatly confused her, but in a moment she recovered and charged one. Hewing the elf in half, she shouted triumphantly. Then, a cloth came over her mouth and only darkness. For some reason, she had found herself suddenly back home, at that one great party at the rock salt well. And then, suddenly, this.

Some are at the fort, some are at the tower.

The group heard a great cry from upstairs, mainly consisting of "Some bastard get me Down from here, DAMNIT!" and other curses. "I'll tear yer LIVERS out and then HYDRATE MESELF with yer blood for weeks if ye don't be quick about it!"
