The master reached into it's robe and withdrew a handful of charred vermin. The candlestick fell to the floor. "My pennance, o great ones!"

Corai had began to twitch. Whatever was in that soup was NOT good for Corai. Corai screamed and passed out again, and again, and again. Unable to stay awake or asleep longer then five seconds.

Freeble woke up, looked, and went back to sleep. He wasnt helping Corai.

Didn't someone learn "FOS RO DA"?

uncountable ninja's

Eric, I am placing migrants in 4x1 rooms that extend off of a hallway at the southern end of the dining room.

I understand that this is acceptable to you as you're actually playing dwarf fortress, but for all meaningful story purposes a legendary +5 miner is expected to do legendary +5 work on a legendary +5 short notice. In other words, it's always best to bullshit it for roleplay purposes. :P

Only one higher than skilled, eric.

Uh-oh, looks like the kobolds have acquired prions from the human flesh in the soup! That will require serious treatment, and I don't know if that's possible normally! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuru_%28disease%29

Has some very, very bad symptoms. My bet is that elves and goblins have natural defenses to avoid it when eating humans, but other sentient races do not.

"Shhhhh!" Hissed weird in a hushed whisper. "You'll blow my cover!"

"Spray it! Quick!" Hugo's ghost hissed back.

His thoughts raced. This was dangerous. Oh, this was dangerous.

He didn't have very many reagents left in his kit. The more useful ones depleted last night...

Looking at the front of his suit where the ripcords were, hugo's ghost was getting frantic while he assayed what he could still make.

Something really nasty.  Kind of a gross organic slurry of trichlorethylene, benzene, and methyl keytone. Flamable... but also nasty enough to kill most insects in a few seconds of concentrated exposure.  Sucking in a breath, and faking a falsetto, he played his role.

"Master! I will punish you!"

Rushing up like a good little acolyte, he stopped short, threw back the hood, and sprayed the cocktail into the swarming mass of filth.

Corai stopped twitching after a awhile, struggling to get up.

"The hell just-" He took one look at the Master, remembered what was happening, and crawled into a empty bed. He was just gonna sleep it off. "Wake me when the world makes sense again."

The master kneeled down, wreathed in flames. The hide robe shriveled and disintegrated, burning bugs pouring out of it. "THANK YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!" it screamed. "AT LAST I AM UNITED IN PAIN AND PLEASURE!" The group watched as it dissolved slowly, until there was nothing but a heap of charred matter on the ground...

Suddenly, a great many cries of horror echoed from the tower. The scorpion-elf waiter looked at his hands, and saw one of them was a claw. "AAAAARHG!" he screamed in complete terror. Around the room, all the altered elves sank to the floor, screaming or weeping. The normal elves looked at their fellows, a look of numb horror on their faces. The bee-faced elf came running through the hall, demanding "WHAT THE CEDAR IS HAPPENING HERE! THERE ARE BEES COMING OUT MY EYES!" before clawing at the hive on his head.

All kobolds quickly awoke.

"Whats happening"

"Wheres Corai"

"Wheres my coin?"

"Why are we speaking english?"

"WHY THE HELL IS THERE SOUP ON MY MOUTH."

Corai was the last to awake, he looked at the elves.

"Boys, let us leave these elves to live for once. They treated us well....hah." he said getting up.

A kobold sneaks up on the cactus-elf and stabs it's right arm with a spear before the other kobolds begin mauling with with pieces of the beds.

"Heh, why hello-HAHHAHAHAHAHAHH!" Corai said before falling over laughing, he found Joykill wearing trollskin hilariously embarrassing, either that or the elf being tortured by the kobolds.

Upstairs, the influence lifted from the meat-sources. The ones who had been harvested but not potioned yet died, still hallucinating peace. The others with injuries but coated in potion passed into sleep. The unmarked ones screamed in visceral horror.
