Two elven waiters appeared, one bearing a cask of alchohol and the other a huge platter of food. They wore tattered clothes, where their deformities poked through. They seemed normal enough, except for one having half of his mouth being an arachnid mandible, with chitinous plates down his arms, and the other having a huge claw for a hand and a massive scorpion tail.

"Are you looking for something, my lord?" The master addressed this to Stormtemplar. "I do not know much of angels, but I am afraid the outhouse is at ground level."

HugoLuman shuddered. He did not want to imagine what could be crawling on the walls of such a toilet.

Where are the rest of the kobolds?

"They must have been taken down to the dormitory in the basement, poor things. They seemed to have fainted from surprise!"

Corai lay underneath a unconsiounce kobold, as odd as it was, it managed to get him out unharmed of the near-isntanious attack.

"How the hell....he didnt even get stabbed one time..." he said to himself, pushing the kobold over and looking around. The goblin waved to him. Corai stabbed it's face out to shut it up.

"Okay, I hear dinner, with any hope I can escape while those.....things eat." he said, slowly opening the door, noiseless. Kobold raw talent allowed him to use doors, no matter how noisy, silently. He opened it, and slipped into the hallways with his Microsidian spear in tow. Then he notices Stormtemplar poking around the room.

"Oh great, the greeting party is here..." He stabbed the ground, getting Templar's attention, he mouthed "Get out, now. This guy is not normal" and continued down the hallway. Templar mouthed back "Thank you captain obvious!"

[Sorry. Work has me a bit busy today.]

Weird had picked a room, but had not slept.  Instead, he had silently tiptoed out of the fortress in the night, and had been surveying the tower, secreted by the shadows.

There, watching the tower's changing of the guard... if the unholy things coming and going were actually people.... he determined that the tower was indeed vulnerable. There was a time just after the morning bell, when all the guards returned inside for some unknown function.

The doors were wooden, and swung outward like a proper fortress door should. However, they had been reinforced with strong iron banding and thick pig iron rivets. Instead of handles, they had large iron loops mounted to the framework.  A good rope, or heavy chain through the loops, and wrapped around a sturdy log, and those doors wouldn't  budge if a truck ran into them.

Stealthfully getting up and heading back toward the fortress, he saw his confidants walking up the path.... tower elves leading them.

Stealing behind the group, and picking off one of the attendants with a little chloroform, he slipped the nasty smelling trollskin coverings over his hazard suit, and pulled the hood up to conceal his filter mask, and fell in line behind the procession.

Udjuflubis awoke, and found himself in an oversized bed smelling of cocoa butter. He looked around the room. It was dimly lit with small lanterns. Other kobolds were tucked into beds along the walls. It would almost be adorable, if it wasn't for the... things standing over them.

You try that, the dragon attacks you.

Besides, all it takes is a little more digging when they arrive.  They can survive in the dining hall.

"There will be no intimidating me. Now here are the designations; dig it out, and let me worry about the order in which our work is done. That is my job, not yours, outsider. Now, Cog, have you any news of the tower's architecture? And the escape tunnel is prepared for use, correct?"

The kobold looked up at a creature, a strange hybrid of elf and cactus. It held a bowl of soup in one hand and a towel in the other. It coked it's head at him. "Did you sleep well, little one?" it asked in a twisted voice.

Udjuflubis passed out in terror.

Corai reached the exit through the shadows, guilt overcame him. He couldnt leave his kobolds.

"Ugh, cant leave em......Its bad for work." he said and returned the way he came, following elf-cactuses with soup. He followed them into a room with kobolds in hammocks, he walked directly behind the last one in the line into the room and ducked under a hammock, invisable in the shadows. Tuxes are more then just fashion!

The group reached the ward. It was several levels underground. Looking in, they saw what could only be described as a twisted boarding school dormitory. The furnishings seemed plain, comfortable, and homey, but the occupants absolutely did not.

Keeping his distance from the main group to avoid detection, weird posed as a simple servant in "the household", hovering in the edge of sight, like a servant waiting for instruction, but still tagging along the procession.

First the dining hall, then the bedrooms...... then... the kitchen.  He was greatful for the filter mask, but the viscera only mildly affected him.  The unnerving part, was that the saughtered were kept living, and endurec being cut again and again.  Their minds were clearly gone. Death would be a mercy.  This place must be hated and feared for miles around.

Filing away all he was seeing, he noticed something strange. All the windows had bars in them.

"Aren't the Goddesses' chosen just so adorable?" asked the master. "I wish I could keep them here forever! But, you'll probably want them back. As you can see, they are completely safe."

An elf, with tree branches sprouting from his back, poured soup into the mouth of an unconscious kobold."

Weird, there are no windows... those are chutes.

Chutes for gods know what.

Chutes for the flesh of sentients.

You, sir, should be writing a horror novel.
