I got some seeds! It was some of the few things I managed to scrap together from the wreckage...

While they are surface crops, I snagged a single whip vine (mill it! MILL IT! Get the seeds!), I also grabbed a few fisher berries, some rope reed, and a bunch of straw and prickleberries.

A little brewing, and we could have booze and fabric before we know it.  Stone pots can hold booze without glaze, so we're all set.  We still need a craftsdwarf shop to make stone pots though.

Leave him his little cabin.  Though maybe requiring a firing port on each outer wall is a must.

A few fisher berry seeds, his plump helmet spawn missing, some odd purple plants hed's stolen from that elf, and a gold coin. "Would any of you happen to know if this purple thing is poisonous?"

Beginning construction of labs.  To prevent harm to fortress, there are both retracting bridges, for keeping people out, and raising bridges, for keeping experiments in.  To prevent dangerous experiments, the only way into labs will be through the person's room.  That is all.
